Survivor

Alan is in dire straits . A zombie apocalypse has taken place and Alan is descending in to insanity . His only companion is a clay skull and he spends his daylight hours hunting and killing zombies . He realises that is situation is hopeless and has no hope of eradicating all the zombies stalking the city

A British horror short featuring old school zombies , that is ones who can't run SURVIVOR instantly reminded me of Richard Matheson's horror classic I AM LEGEND and of the films it inspired . The idea of a lone protagonist having conversations with a non sentient companion is a direct reference to THE OMEGA MAN . Writer/director Stuart Bedford does manage to weave a bleak nihilistic and disturbing tone to this horror short . I do know well regarded IMDber Bob The Moo is terrified of the zombie genre not least because the idea of civilisation collapsing and never returning is so depressing . If like Bob you have this mind set then take my warning and stay away from this short . Horror fans will probably be impressed by it
