After the death of his daughter, a grieving father tries to look into what caused her suicide and finds a coven of her friends who tried to help her before she died, but the more he looks into the cult finds their ties to witchcraft enough to realize the deadly plan they're about to start.
This was a decent enough if overall flawed genre effort. Among the better features here is the build-up of the general reveal here and what goes on with the cult makes for a great reveal. The initial idea of the death leading him to a support group where he gets into contact with the coven that has everything set up to get their plan started is surprisingly obvious to see coming but still allows for even creepy imagery to set things up nicely. As the gradual reveal about the witches and what they intend to do with him following the exploits of his daughter, this comes about incredibly well in the second half where his corruption at their hands makes everything come together into a far more ominous which not only includes the reveal about their plans but a series of chilling visuals to accomplish everything. It comes together nicely enough to be quite fun and helps give this some great points even though there are some big issues here that bring this one down overall. The main issue with the film is the overreliance on repeating the same tactic where the constant intrusion from the cult takes the form of dreams and nightmares that do the same thing over and over again. The fact that he has the same thing multiple times where the initial appearance of the sequence is thought to be a haunting where the witches are targeting him before being turned into the reveal that it was all a dream which is a fine tactic once or twice but gets repeated multiple times here to the point where it wears out its welcome quite quickly. It never changes tactic either so it easily comes across as something that drains the atmosphere quite easily so that there's a plodding and draining build-up to the whole reveal due to this repetitive action. These factors all manage to give this one a few issues to overcome.
Rated Unrated/R: Graphic Language, Graphic Violence, and Full Nudity.

> Poor scene transitions, unconvincing make-up, weak acting, awkward camera angles, and mismatched music everywhere. The neck of the actress playing the gothic leader seems like it's the same in reality, too.
There's fog everywhere - even indoors, the rooms are shrouded in mist. Every attempt at creating an atmosphere falls flat.
I couldn't tell if I was watching a horror, a comedy, or some kind of experiment. All I know is I watched a disaster. I genuinely don't understand how it has an IMDb rating above 6. It's a movie that lacks direction, creativity, and coherence.
Truly a waste of time.

This really does stand out as a gripping and intense supernatural horror film that masterfully intertwines psychological drama with chilling scenes. The story follows a heartbroken father unraveling the mysterious circumstances surrounding his daughter's apparent suicide, which leads him deep into a terrifying occult conspiracy involving her friends.
The film excels in gradually unveiling the malevolent motives of the cult, maintaining a tight grip on suspense throughout. The cinematography adds to the eerie atmosphere, perfectly complementing the tense storyline. The portrayal of the father's transformation from deep grief to stark terror is particularly striking, especially as the film builds to its climactic twists and turns.
Although the movie relies on dream sequences to depict the cult's eerie influence, this choice effectively heightens the sense of dread. Conjuring the Cult is a commendable addition to its genre, offering both horror aficionados and newcomers a thrilling cinematic experience.

This film excels in delivering a captivating and suspenseful narrative. One of the film's standout aspects is its cleverly structured buildup to a series of startling revelations involving a mysterious cult. The initial premise of the protagonist, led by grief to a support group, seamlessly transitions into his eerie encounters with a coven poised to enact a sinister plan. This progression is handled with a deft touch, providing just enough foreshadowing to pique interest without diminishing the impact of the surprises that follow.
The storyline weaves together these elements into a compelling tapestry of horror and suspense that keeps the viewer engaged. Although the film occasionally struggles with repetitive sequences, these moments are overshadowed by its strengths, particularly the effective use of haunting imagery and a robust, ominous atmosphere that grips the audience. Overall, Conjuring the Cult provides a thoroughly enjoyable and intriguing experience, marking it as a noteworthy addition to the horror genre.

Totally nails the creepy vibe, and the gore scenes are killer! Every jump scare had me leaping out of my seat, and I've gotta say, some parts felt eerily like deja vu from a past freaky experience! The special effects are seriously top-notch-the makeup and gore are just insanely good.
You've gotta see this one! It's a wild ride that'll make you swear off anything to do with conjurings. The cast crushes it; they've been awesome in their other movies, and they just keep upping their game.
And if you dig this, you should definitely catch Conjuring the Beyond too-another banger with a great plot and stellar cast!
