There seems to be some good backstory and lore here but I can't get over the cringe. Adult character marries underage girl and makes cringy veiled remarks that just make this uncomfortable to watch. If they cut out the attempt at "hehe" humor about their age difference this might have been much better. Good potential but even the snippets of lore that they give you really don't land as a solid world that should be cared about. The dragon character is more annoying than interesting and the other side characters don't get a good enough fleshing out. Pretty much everything looks like it's good and lands short.
This show is one of the most senseless I've seen, yet it takes its plot seriously! It's proven its senseless nature from the very beginning. The romance, although a bit weird, is enjoyable, considering it's fiction. Surprisingly, the comedy lands for me too!
The animation in the first couple of episodes was really good-felt like watching a high-quality production. However, as the episodes progressed, the quality declined. One thing that remained consistent was the sound design. It was magnificent to hear, making the scenes more impactful than they really are. The opening and ending songs were okay for me but somewhat fit the theme of the show.
There were some boring moments, such as exposition dumps here and there, but fortunately, they were infrequent. The plot moves at a very fast pace, almost like it's running at 1.5x speed! It was a bit surprising at first, but I got used to it as the episodes progressed.
Overall, it's a show that's heavy on exposition, tightly gripped with no sense, and full of plot holes and dumb twists. However, it has sweet sprinkles of romance here and there with hilarious situations at times. I kind of like it!

Nothing will quell the rage within her. Her execution is tomorrow, but she's still fighting. She attempts to kill Gerald der Kratos, her now EX-fiance. He dodges her strike. Soon, she's falling off the castle tower. They're shooting arrows which she easily deflects, but then, just as she's wishing for another chance, a spear pierces her core... and she wakes up the night she got engaged to that depraved, sister-obsessed sicko.
Well, she ain't gonna make THAT mistake again!
As soon as HE enters the ball, Jill (now 10 years old again, though her real age is 16) runs away yelling back to her mother some whatnot about indigestion. Gerald der Crap tons (eh, /Kraptons/... NO, it's Kraptos, I mean KRATOS, but "Crap tons" suits him even better) came and found her anyway. She runs again. He pursues. He tries to propose, but Jill backs up until she can't back up anymore. She hits a set of knees. Someone is seated behind her. "I've fallen in love with /him/👈 already." She says something like that. "I accept your proposal." Rave "Hadis" Teos says something like that. He's the dark prince of a dark kingdom who will start a war in 6 years! Did Jill jump from the dragon's claws into the dragon's mouth?
Based on a light novel, TDODCTDE is a 2024 J. C. Staff studios release that is rated 7.01 on MAL. It is 1 season consisting of 12 23-minute English dubbed episodes with CC available. When they get back to his country, she ends up thwarting all coup attempts and leading his forces to victory. He bakes her croissants. Seems they have a blending of their roles and they compliment eachother like 🥐🥐🥐 and ☕.
Our FL is the daughter of the Lord of War. She might be a little girl, but she can break through a stone wall with her fists and she has the strength of superman. Savelle Jill, is her name. She's the Lady Goddess of War. Even in a 10 year old's body, she can toss a full sized ship from the bay to the dock and then turn around and punch the incoming cannon fire to smithereens.
Rave is the Dragon king even though he's a jovial and rather juvenile 2.5ft white dragon spirit. Most people can't see him. Emperor Hadis can, and he noticed that Jill could see Rave when he first met her. Hadis may seem like he's acting on a whim, but he has 2 requirements for a wife. 1, Magical prowess. 2. A girl under the age of 14. This has nothing to do with proclivities. The spirit of Goddess Kratos is determined to make the emperor hers. In order to do that, she can possess any woman of the age of 14 or older. His age requirement is an anti-fraud measure.
Heaven help me, I really got a kick out of this show. I'd already watched author Nagase Sarasa's I'm the Villainess, So I'm Taming the Final Boss-7, which I enjoyed quite a bit, though the 2nd half was not as good as the first. TDODCTDE is more layered, more mature (even though our FL is so young) funnier, and more action packed. So, it's very encouraging that it was written a couple years later, as our author is getting better with age. I'm sure our protags' love affair will do the same.
Love affair? She's 10 and he's 19...
It's cute! It's awful! It's sweet! It's shocking! It's adorable! It's CRIMINAL!
First, we should never lose sight of the fact that this girl is 16. She has a tween's physique, but her emotional and mental age is within 3 years of the 19 year old prince. He, on the other hand, is emotionally stunted, lonely, and immature in many ways. She's the leader in the relationship. This romance is a no-swooning zone, ladies. The prince does all the swooning. He's so desperate to be loved that whenever Jill says anything remotely kind, loyal, or affectionate, he faints.
In terms of plot, Jill already experienced 6 years into the future. This emperor terrorized the world. She witnesses him attempting to figure out how he'll rule. As the people and his family are skeptical of him, he's guarded about them. Jill would very much like to keep him from a reign of terror. There's also a squabble for the throne, the Goddess is wreaking havoc, the dragons are restless, Gerald der Kraptons hasn't conceded jack-squat, but not one croissant gets burned!

This anime based on a light novel and manga, adapts it faithfully and animates the characters and action scenes well. A lot of the criticisms stem from one thing: The age gap. To that I say: Read a damn book. Back then in novelty and royalty, political marriages and concubines' were extremely common. We live in a more refined society where we say no because we understand the implications and disgustingness of what they used to do back then with children. But that shouldn't mean we should shun a faithful adaptation for providing an accurate historical basis on a light-hearted non-serious, funny anime.
This show is based on a light novel and manga, and it stays pretty true to them. It's a fun, light-hearted romance, but the age difference of the protagonists can be very off-putting. It's a little better in the manga and light novels since there they hint at the older character being able to see her as her true older self. However, the age difference is the real problem with this. The characters also seem a little overpowered with no one blinking an eye at it. Other than these two things, though, it's a good, fun anime. If you can get past the age-difference, it's well worth the watch, especially if you like the reincarnated trope.
