A young man tries to open a pistachio nut. Its perseverence, fury, tools for his purpose, stubborn and fight are well reflected, in precise way, by this short film.

But the good point of Open is represented by the sexual quonotation scenes after the intense - vain battle. Not only the beauty of cinematography seduced me , but the reference to return to pre-birth moments.

The final reminds me The Metamorphose by Franz Kafka.

In short, admirable work, well performance of George Nayler - his role between Horla and Kafka universe and the ironic succes of one of relatives.
