    Incredibly well done!

I'm a huge fan of Ohio indie horror movies so I was eager to get this in mail. I've watched most of writer/director Dustin Wayde Mills' movies and love everything he's done. They're all no-budget films so you go in with expectations that it's not going to be like a Hollywood horror movie. I've seen people complain about how these horror movies don't look real but I don't think those reviewers actually get how little of a budget most of these directors have.

Kill That Bitch begins with a masked man killing a girl and sending a text to several other girls about said death. No backstory given, the movie jumps right into the action. I figured it would be an in medias res type movie where we'll get flashbacks to why this killing happened and was surprised to find we don't. There's a reason we don't and I'm glad for it. Can't go into it without spoiling the ending which is fantastic. So if you're someone who wants answers right away, just stick with it as it's definitely worth it. Everything makes sense in the end but what I like is that it's not force fed to the viewer, you have to come to that conclusion yourself.

One nice thing about the Ohio indie horror filmmakers is that they get a group of actors and actresses that appear in their various movies. This is good because the actors and actresses create a rapport with the filmmakers which allows them to know what works best for their character. Their acting is always great and they push themselves to do new types of things. All the acting in this movie was great as always.

One actress that really shined here was Haley Madison. I've seen here in a few other movies and enjoyed her performance in Haunted House on Sorority Row. Her performance in Kill That Bitch seemed natural, as if she wasn't acting but just being herself. Out of all the characters, her character is the one that I still think about an hour after the movie. While her role wasn't as large as some of the other actresses, it was still a good part. I look forward to seeing her in other movies, I think she'll eventually be a lead actress!

One thing that surprised me the most was how perfect the music was. This Little Light of Mine was used in several spots here, one of which makes me think I can't hear the song without thinking of this movie. There is also a fantastic scene with the killer in his lair with Fur Elise playing in the background, it fit so perfectly with the scene! As mentioned before, you do have to go in acknowledging that this is a no-budget movie so you can't expect the special effects to be Hollywood level. There were a few scenes that went above and beyond with makeup, though.

Overall this was a fantastic movie. I wish it were long, 68 minutes leaves you wanting more just because of how well done it is!

the defenseless are harmed by those charged with defending them

films, and books, and art, and poetry, can inspire people to take risks and try something new. it is said that opera-goers, so inspired by a performance, raced out of the theater to attack occupying troops. what does a film with the title KILL THAT BITCH inspire? what happens in the brain of the viewer? a defenseless girl is graphically killed. as modern life becomes more complex, there is a rising tide of hatred against women, but misogyny is ancient. most women come to harm by men they know well, not by strangers. who harms women and girls? - the men who are supposed to love them. people who seek this type of film out like to watch a person killed graphically. what form of empowerment or of pleasure comes from that?

Top drawer indie horror. Dustin Mills knocks it out of the park.

It's rare these days that a film can surprise me. This is the fourth Dustin Mills movie I've had the pleasure of viewing and, I have to say, he's rapidly becoming one of my favourite directors.

Kill That Bitch is almost too good to be true. I was pinching myself as the movie ended and I asked myself, "How does an indie director, with a micro budget, produce something that rivals the best genre movies that the major studios release?" Cancel that, this film actually exceeds what many studios can deliver. His studio's independence means no compromises are made with regards content. What we have is the director's vision, undiluted and unique.

Mills' movie has guts (figuratively and actual). It's a down and dirty tale that is light years away from his directorial debut, Puppet Monster Massacre. Whilst Puppet is an accomplished film, it's Meets the Feebles-esque and is cosy entertainment with an edge. Kill That Bitch is a whole different animal. Whilst it's a glossy affair with some beautiful camera effects and a solid score, it's the plot and performances that engage the viewer. Mills has shown that he's definitely not a one trick pony. He delivers solid genre offerings no matter what the subject matter and style he adopts. Knowing how to craft a script, Mills milks every opportunity for suspense and unease. He's a new Master of Horror, no doubt about it, and he's not afraid of taking chances and delivering a film that is, on the surface, very contradictory to what we've seen before.

With movies like this under his belt (and Skinless is another absolute gem), I can only wonder what the future holds in store for this new infant terrible.

10 out of 10. They don't come much better than this. And one last thing....never has it been so important to stay sat down and ensure you don't miss a second of the closing credits.

If you only could laugh at the bullshit.....

This has to be one of the worst movies I've ever seen! Decent story? No. Atmosphere? No. Decent acting? No? Any fantastic gore you ask? Definitely no. In this plastic day and age when Follywood is absolutely barren when it comes to creativity in the horror-genre, instead spewing out harmless filth to satiate the kiddies, sometimes a fresh breath of air is to be found within the independent horror-community. But let me tell you, this film is a shame, no redeeming qualities whatsoever! For starters, the acting is on par with a pre-school play, absolutely ridiculous, you don't believe a single word word that comes out of their stupid mouths. Second, the plot is totally lame, no real thought behind it if I'm being honest. And yeah, I said it already, no atmosphere at all, and in a so called horror movie, that is inexcusable. Last but not least, the gore is so mild that my grandma safely could have watched it. So, what are you left with then? Absolutely nothing. I hate the fact that I actually bought this filth, but as the filth it truly is, I'm throwing it in the garbage. And to think the director actually is proud of this abomination, unbelievable! This is even worse than Coffin Baby, at least you could laugh at that one.... If you want excellent horrific and sleazy pieces of art, from the bottom of my heart I recommend Headless and Gutterballs. Done the right way. Avoid this at all costs.

Just keep on doing what you do, Dustin.

Indie horror director Dustin Wayde Mills clearly believes that extreme brutality and a few buck naked chicks make up for the many shortcomings inherent in zero budget film-making. And I'm inclined to agree with him.

Kill That Bitch suffers from a shabby aesthetic (possibly intentionally), not very convincing gore effects, and weak performances, but the film's gratuitous T&A (which starts from the very first scene with some full frontal female nudity) and its relentless, mean-spirited approach ensures that it is never boring. And with a couple of overly-ambitious fight scenes thrown in for good measure, and not one, but two plot twists towards the end (the second of which I failed to guess despite one or two clues hidden in plain sight), it actually manages to be a rather fun watch in spite of its imperfections.

Obviously movies like this aren't going to appeal to everyone, and I doubt that Mills and his pals will be courted by any major studios in the foreseeable future, but I for one am glad that they do what they do: being a horror fan would be far less interesting if all movies were slick Hollywood blockbusters.

5.5 out of 10, rounded up to 6 for IMDb (and for introducing me to tattooed horror hottie Haley Madison).
