Finally a different premise..sorts@

**BREAKING NEWS!** After *years* of intense research, scientists have finally discovered a **second plot** for Hallmark Christmas movies.

Early reports indicate it still involves a small town, a bakery, a flannel-wearing single dad, and a career woman from the city... but apparently this time **the snow falls in a slightly different order.**

Stay tuned for updates as researchers determine whether this new plot is actually any different or just wearing a different scarf. 🎄😂

But seriously...this movie was a bit different and actually watchable!!

You had me at Paula's Donuts!

This felt like home. Well, except being outside in 9° really hurts your face.

And how fun to see Thurman Thomas, Andre Reed and Scott Norwood!

Building the new stadium, beef on weck, Chestnut Ridge Park, Vidlers... They even decorated the was we really decorate in Buffalo. This movie was silly, but a lot of fun. Go Bills!

Bills pep rally plus Hallmark cameos

Hallmark seems intent on putting some of their more popular stars as cameos in various movies.

But more than that this was a Bills pep rally. I doubt the Bills' publicist could have put in more Bills hype. Not to mention numerous Bills players, former players and head coach.

The story doesn't matter. There is plenty of banter and the tone is very upbeat. There is a running gag of "you should tell her" coming from people Gabe hardly knows. Basically the movie is just fun.

Unlike a lot of this type of movie based on Sports themes, the story isn't about a build up to a championship and since the last game shown is Christmas, they don't really talk about where the Bills place.

Gabe and Morgan have known each other since childhood and are best friends. Their actors mesh together perfectly like they have been together that long.

There isn't a lot of tension in the story especially since the viewer knows how things will work out for the couple and the pregnant mom.

There are a lot of sappy moments. I thought the sap was closer to being cheesy, especially the climax.

Good warmhearted fare for the holiday season

As a former Bills season ticket holder and lifelong Canadian fan, I just had to watch this film when I read my Bills e-mail advising me that it was on tonight.

I felt they did an excellent job with the casting of veteran actors Joe Pantoliano and Tracy Pollan, and the male and female leads, Holland Roden and Matthew Daddario had great chemistry.

For Bills fans it was of course great to see some of the current and former players in cameos.

What surprised me was the quality of the story line, nothing too complex of course but better than what I expected to be a cookie cutter Holiday film plot.

I would recommend this film for both Bills fans and anyone looking to watch a good lighthearted family Christmas movie.

4 Stars out of 5. (I would have given it 5 stars except Doug Flutie was not in it...lol)

Everything 4 a great movie

It's a football movie, it's a romance, a love story to the city of Buffaloo and a Christmas movie!!!! And it got it all right! Hallmark covered all the yards. They even threw in a little mystery and a history lesson. Sure there's the predictable romance but it's a part of a whole. The cameos were numerous and well placed. Not just 4 Buffalo fans, anyone that loves a good story will enjoy this movie.

I can't wait...

I can't wait until vocal fry dies off. Holland Roden's vocal fry was so distracting that I couldn't focus on the movie. Was it good? Was it bad? Who could tell? Just stop with the vocal fry already, people!!!

Other than that, from what I could piece together it was a decent enough movie. Much better than last year's Hallmark/NFL offering.

Vast improvement over last year's Train Wreck!

If you go to my User's Page, you can find my review on the first HOLIDAY TOUCHDOWN: A CHIEFS LOVE STORY movie which I gave two stars for being a shameless 2-hour infomercial for the Kansas City Chiefs. Its only redeeming quality was a good supporting cast of veteran comedic actors whose talent was criminally wasted. As I said about that one, it had no plot to speak of and whatever semblance of a plot wasn't even up to your standard cookie cutter Hallmark Christmas Movie.

This one exceeded all that by far. It still had a lot of gratuitous cameos of retired and current NFL Buffalo Bills whom I suspect only an obsessed fan living in Buffalo for decades would recognize in totality. But the central characters aren't as annoyingly obsessed as those in the first movie, and I could identify and sympathize with them. The plots are still formulaic but not totally cookie cutter. My old 20-minute rule for Hallmark movies (you know within the first 20 minutes which two characters are going to be paired up at the end) still held true, but there were other relationships that develop. And as with just about all Hallmark movies, it's not the destination that matters, it's the journey.

Tell her you love her

8.0 stars.

I didn't like this as much as the Chiefs one last year, but it's very close. It doesn't feel quite as dynamic of a story. It's mainly about a man and woman who have been best friends since they were in school and they are searching for a secret Santa who has gifted her uncle for over 50 years.

The young man has been attracted to her for many years and everyone can see it, and they tell him it's obvious, but he is trying to be low-key (unsuccessfully), yet she has no clue. Eventually she will probably realize it, it's Hallmark. He works for the Buffalo Bills and is helping build a new stadium and she is a pediatrician.

First and foremost, this story is about unrequited love that must be extinguished by telling that person you love them. It's also a sweet low-key mystery that Hallmark likes to dole out every year. In this instance they search through old receipts to find the Santa, just a wing and a prayer, a needle in a haystack. Both of their families have been Bills fans for life and they hang out a lot, so we get to see their dedication as football watchers that do crazy football fanatic stuff (like jumping on coffee tables and throwing things and yelling).

I don't recall seeing the lead male before, but he grows on you, and I really like the lead female. She has character, not too proper, but rough around the edges in a cute and endearing way. The leads have great chemistry, which is a must for great romantic entertainment. As for the rest of the crew: many well-known actors appear in this movie, so that should tell you how important it is to see it. The same Santa shows up from the Chiefs movie last year -- the real Santa, and he's the coolest real Santa, although he could gain a few pounds in the mid-section.

No doubt I will watch this every few years. Loved all the cameos from other Hallmark people as well as a bunch of Bills players. It's star studded.

My Hometown & Football Team X Hallmark Christmas = Magic

The minute I heard that Hallmark was making a Buffalo Bills themed holiday love story I was all in! Being a Buffalo native and die hard Bills Mafia football fan who is living in the South now, I LOVE seeing my hometown featured and this Hallmark movie did it right!

The Buffalo Bills, fun player cameos, the old and new stadium, Vidler's .5 $ .10, Wings/blue cheese, city of good neighbors, the loyalty, enthusiasm of the Mafia (breaking tables and scheduling life around Bills games), and the beauty and small town feel of our strong and resilient city. The highlights of our city in a fun Christmas Love Story mystery that will have you Billieving in the magic of the season again!

The movie played homage to our history and past while highlighting our never ending sense of hope and will to BILLieve no matter what! In the words of Marv Levy, "When it's too hard for them, it's just right for us." "Where else would you rather be than right here, right now!"

I enjoyed showing my children Buffalo and our spirit through the lens of this Hallmark movie camera. Made me miss Buffalo so much but also be grateful that I have a Bills Mafia football club family full of western NY transplants here in Florida where we get to cheer on our Bills together and being a piece of Buffalo's "City of Good Neighbors" spirit to the sunshine state!

Great lessons and holiday fun in this love story to Buffalo! Watch with your whole family this holiday season and GO BILLS!

Go Bills!

A cute movie with a very current timeline about building the new Bills stadium. My sister's house has all those Bills decorations and more -- no lie! Great to see on-location filming at Chestnut Ridge Park, East Aurora, Children's Hospital, and the old and new Highmark Stadiums.

It's a typical Hallmark storyline, but well done by all the actors. And the Bills players are having a ball. Go Bills!

Not a Hallmark movie watcher, but this one got me

I don't typically watch Hallmark movies, but this one was adorable and so funny! The small town vibes were immaculate and so endearing. Personally, Vinny and Uncle Tommy were some of my favorite characters; witty, hilarious, and you feel like you know these characters in real life. Such an awesome film and may have reeled me into Hallmark movies from here on out.

I BILLieve this was a Hallmark movie

It was everything you think it would be and more! It was a entertainment sandwich of cheese, more cheese, pickled Hallmark trite, with a cocaine, avocado mayo. A timeless story in Buffalo where Buffalo, Buffalo chicken wings, really , omg Andre Reed, east, aurora brings the real Chritmas spirit heat. This movie reminds us all, that everyone wins in the world of make BILLieve, except the bad guys.

Good, but...

The chemistry was all off...we could NOT get behind the actor who played Gabe...he was not believable as a leading man in a Hallmark movie. I'm sure in a different type of movie he would be fine, but as a love interest this did not work. I enjoyed the story and like that the plot was different, but not a repeat favorite.

Abraham Benrubi

I found who played Santa. I recognized him but he is much thinner than many of his movies. I know him from ER mostly. Another note about the movie, locations I recognized and have been there, BarBill, Vidler's, Aurora movie theater, Chestnut Ridge Park and the toboggan run and casino, I lived a mile from Abbott Rd., Paula's donuts, reference to Beef in Weck, wings, tailgates although they weren't shown as massively crazy as they actually are, responses to "Go Bills" by real Bills Mafia is only "Go Bills", and others. Funny that across the road in East Aurora shots had no snow. I know you filmed it last summer but funny. Did a great job making it look like real snow.

Awesome representation of Buffalo and well done story!!

The movie was so well done. Yes it's cheesy at times and all, but it's full of fun and excitement. The acting is great from the whole cast. Most importantly, it captures the true heart and soul of Buffalo, NY and Bills Mafia!! I love how the cast and crew took their time to get to know Buffalo and make sure they represented us in the most authentic way possible!! Go Bills!!
