Trial by Ordeal

As much as we are all 'Team Henry', let's not forget the actual story....and it is still plodding along. We are slowly getting to the end game just as it was in The Witcher games (particularly The Witcher 3, a top 10 of all time rpg open world games). We've played the games, nothing (so far) is going astray. Relax everyone. Enjoy it to the end. I'm sure that with an open mind, it can be thoroughly enjoyed.

If your coming to this because you are a fan of the books or games, this isn't the show for you, Henry held it together as best he could, but now he's gone there is very little left for fans to enjoy. It's the witcher only in title, they should have created a entirely new IP for this and not used an existing one with loyal fans, maybe then it could have worked. Sadly this has gone the same way as wheel of time & rings of power, such a shame, I hope in my lifetime we get a faithful Witcher live action series.

At this point you can't expect it to align with the books. I love how they've cast Regis. The fight scenes have been spectacular. And I'm trying to give Liam a fair shake. If you look at the video games, Liam actually looks more like Geralt than Cavill did (HC will always be a favorite though, not knocking him).

I've always been a huge fan of The Witcher series. Clavell was perfect for the role, his voice and mannerisms brought the character to life. I really wanted to like this but I just can't. Liam sucks... it's like the knock off version of a brand name product. I can't even finish the episode. I hope the "showrunner" gets her head out of the sand and brings Clavell back as a co-writer so he can fix this disaster of a season. It's really not fair to the other wonderful actors and storylines.

Such a big disappointment. Liam isn't a strong enough dramatic actor to pull the character off and they all knew it. From the producers to the writers. So they had to put more dialogue in for Geralt to explain his motivations and feelings. And even having Laurence Fishburn's character to essentially narrate the whole journey. It's just ridiculous.
