Kevin Hart: Acting My Age

Like the other reviewers, I myself am a big Kevin Hart fan & always find myself back watching one of his specials. To be honest with you I couldn't even finish this one. I was so excited to watch it and i don't think i even chuckled at one joke. The jokes feel like they were written by ai and performed by what ai think Kevin Hart behaves like. I wouldn't go as far to say that this is his downfall because funny people don't just stop being funny but this set was very bland & felt like it was written the night before. I hope he takes his time & comes back with a banger in a few years time.

The guys a legend but this isnt a good set. I loved Kevin in the roast of Tom Brady but the contrast between this set and that is pretty big. He was reeeaaallly original & funny in that roast.

Its the material, nearly all of it is an anecdotal story that just isnt funny enough. It felt like it was rushed together. I found myself smiling here and there but out of respect for him.

I turned it off half way in as I didnt want to waste my evening.

I hope next times a charm, the dude has funny bones & I will certainly keep watching!

This is one of the most pathetic stand ups I've ever seen. There's not one point he was even funny. He looked like a sweaty black troll talking about chit no one even gives a chit about. Kevin Hart's career is over. Katt Williams is right about him. He's talentless garbage whose career is over. Netflix owes me money.

Kevin Hart can always get a few laughs just through his sheer charisma and delivery. However, most of this material didn't connect with me for one simple reason, it's fake.

I'm not talking about comedians exaggerating certain events in their life, or combining something that happened at Thanksgiving with something from Christmas into one awesome story. I'm talking about rolling my eyes at events that Kevin(or his writers) clearly invented out of thin air.

It's a testament to Kevin that he can wring some humor out of it, but there were definitely dead spots throughout. It started off strong and started to drag. Transitions were rough. Some of the material(aging) is stale. Some of it isn't relatable. That makes sense, Kevin is a rich celebrity now. Once a comedian reaches that level, they can't joke about the car breaking down or the rent being past due. They talk about having beef with Michael Jordan.

I know Hart is a divisive comedian. People love him or hate him. If you're not a fan, this won't change your mind. If you are a fan, you'll likely be disappointed by this set.

I was going to rate this a 4, but the person I was watching this with really seemed to enjoy it(although they had a lot of the same issues as me), so I'll rate it a 5.

As a longtime Kevin Hart fan, it honestly hurts to say this, but this stand-up special feels like the moment where his comedy finally hit the wall. The jokes are flat, predictable, and strangely lifeless coming from someone who used to own the stage with pure energy and originality. Instead of the sharp timing and relatable chaos he built his career on, we get a set that feels tired and forced, like he's repeating a formula that stopped working years ago. It's sad to see someone who was once at the absolute top of stand-up deliver something this weak. I've seen amateur open-mic comics deliver funnier sets than this. A disappointing fall from a comedian who used to define the genre.
