First, we must get over that Chloë Grace Moretz is too cute for the part of Maude Garrett. She was the new Carrie in "Carrie" (2013). Once that is done, we can enjoy the movie.
It starts innocuously with a military short warning us about Gremlins. Little did we realize that this is not a disjointed attraction. As we all know Gremlins are real.
A mysterious woman boards the B57 with a classified package that has to be kept upright. She is seated in an auxiliary location. WE get to speculate as to her package and purpose.
You will have to watch the movie to find out the rest.
I can tell you it does get a bit campy and ridiculous.
See a different version of the story "Nightmare at 20,000 Feet" - The Twilight Zone - Season 5 - Episode 3 - William Shatner.

A dysfunctional but seemingly wealthy family takes in a new butler of dubious background. In return, the butler saves the family in more ways than one. (This is a comedy)
If this movie had tried to keep to the same script as the original from 1936, starring William Powell and Carole Lombard, it would not have worked. The basic storyline still works; however, Godfrey Smith harbors a different secret past. This time, Francesca (Eva Gabor) gets to be the bean spiller. You might remember Eva "Green Acres" (1965)
June Allyson makes a good ditzy Irene Bullock.

I keep encountering Professor Neil deGrasse Tyson in various other presentations and books. I also own several "The Great Courses" with more on my "to buy" list. You will have to buy them used, as "The Great Courses" is not selling DVDs anymore.
What makes this interesting is his presenting style. While other people make soundbite presentations, Professor Neil deGrasse Tyson makes continuous sense and seems to be the only person confident in what he is presenting.
As I watch the presentation, I keep the Great Courses pamphlet to look up supplementary information as I go. I also keep a Physics Made Simple book for the few definitions not in the supplement. Even though the presentation is very fundamental, he assumes that you already have some basic knowledge of physics, as he is describing his favorite universe.
The DVD version has two DVDs. The lecture is split up into four topics and twelve lectures.
You will find this a fun way to pass the time and maybe pick up a little universal knowledge.
