After reading so many reviews I think many didn't understand the premise of this film and what it was trying to depict.
After the Hunt is thought provoking film that portrays the narrative of our today's society in a school setting when there's a case of sexual assault. It is not a portrayal of the "Me too Movement" but rather how events unfold when given a situation like the one in the film. It is a movie told mostly from the observer's perspective.
From what I read people are complaining that it doesn't give some answers that they want leaving them frustrated. It is not supposed to give answers but rather observe without taking sides. As Julia Roberts said in a press conference for the film "the art of conversation is lost nowadays, this film was made for people to strike a conversation".
I don't want to give any spoilers, all I can say is that it's always good (for everyone) to maintain boundaries to avoid misunderstandings, so that anyone can avoid any conflict that can occur in the future.
I also don't understand the annoyance of the people about the music in background if there was any music it was for a couple of seconds.
Julia Roberts never fails to give a stellar performance and this time was not the exception, Andrew Garfield, Michael Stuhlbarg, Ayo Edebiri and Chloe Sevigny are great as well. It is definitely worth a watch.

I dare to say that this is Channing Tatum's best performance in his career.
Jeffrey Manchester is an American convicted spree-robber, former US Army soldier and professional thief who became famous for breaking into his target locations by drilling through the roofs. All this happened in real life and was featured in the news. I personally remember hearing about the story.
It's a peculiar, unique, charming story of a real life criminal who ended up living in a Toy store after escaping jail.
Channing Tatum's performance will have you rooting for him, its a fun drama with funny moments, suspense and nostalagia. Kirsten Dunst does a good job with her character and Peter Dinklage is great as well.
I highly recommend it, its on my top 5 of 2025.

I saw this film on IMAX on Wednesday, October 5 and I can say that The Rock and Emily Blunt give a captivating acting performance; their chemistry is palpable. I was glued to the screen the whole time I can say the movie was entertaining.
Now I will explain why I gave it a 6 rating.
The Smashing Machine is a film based on the true events surrounding Kerr's life and rise through the MMA world which was unfortunately derailed by his opioid addiction. This storyline of the film is good, the execution was not.
Acting is great, the movie is good but never leaves the depressing tone during the whole movie. I felt confused at times and there were parts of the film that just didn't say anything.
If the film was telling the story of the Pioneers of MMA Mark Kerr and Mark Coleman why not include a very short brief introduction for those of us who don't know much of the sport and the athlete portrayed in the film.
Was this film meant to be about Kerrs romantic life during his opioid addiction time during his MMA fighting years or was it to somehow to honor his Pioneering legacy in the sport whom he never received credit for or the huge amount of money that nowadays MMA fighters receive. Either way why not include the highs of his career in the sport. He did win championships, he was nicknamed "The Smashing Machine" because he was a great athlete in the sport.
The writer got lost and didn't know how to tell Kerrs story translated into a 2 hour film as well as the director.
Is it worth a watch? Definitely! Just don't expect too much.
