Right, how do you turn a model into a generic looking person?
You use one of the hats this free wears.
It completely changes their appearance, and in some cases, not for the better!
I'm thinking head floating in water. Perhaps you noticed too? 🤷🤣
Anyway, this movie, along with Prometheus have met an end. Nobody wants to see what's going to happen after this. Imo obviously. But it's pretty obvious what's going to happen.
David is back, and at first, I was so sick of David. It felt like HE was actually the one who created the Xenomorph, and I'm just not having that!
I don't know why, but it felt like it was a deliberate choice to give the cast really ordinary names.
No "Ripley" here.
No, in fact, it took me several watches to actually figure out that the main character is called "Daniels"! A very forgettable name! Daniels, it's just... Forgettable, and perhaps it's supposed to be! After all, the moment they picked up that distress signal, they were already doomed!
David wasn't programmed in a normal way. He was Wayland's personal helper. He didn't have the same restraints as other synthetics.
So he's almost a God like character, and you know whatever he wants to do, he's more than likely going to do!
Having said that, I believe this is where this particular story about The Engineers etc dies along with David, and unfortunately, the cargo of The Covenant.
So the last scene, we know what's going to happen there. We don't need to see more, we don't want to see more.
I think this is a good STOPPING point for this particular franchise. It would be nice to get back to Aliens, with Queens, and eggs.
That's what the hardcore fan wants, because I am one.
You'll never recreate the first 2 movies, Alien/s, lightning in a bottle. Over 40 years old, and still holds up to this day, also imo.
But, no more David thank you.
And if we could get back to what we know instead of going off and going off script.
Just let it be a mystery. Let there be fights between Alien and overly armed US Space Soldiers. Yes!
Enough of black goo.
Enough of David creating the Cenamorph, because he didn't! And he doesn't.
Thank you.

This really is a joke if it's really the best attempt at a reboot of the classic original.
Made in a time when spoofs were relatively new, so the jokes weren't so predictable.
Unfortunately, Liam Neeson playing the son of the legend Frank Drebbin. Even though that's also his name?
Pammy is no longer in her prime! C'mon, she made it to about 65 maintaining her looks, but she's well over the hill now. She must be in her 70s.
Lazy storyline. The jokes were weak, I think I laughed once and I can't remember what that was at tbh.
I always thought the likes of Police Squad, Airplane, they'd just be left alone, as we know they can't recreate the original humour that The Naked Gun is supposed to be.
I wouldn't even say it was a good effort.
I was glad when the movie was over, which ironically has one of the funniest scenes in the whole movie.
When the screen freezes at the end, and him and Pammy are super confused about it. I laughed at the end titles, and one other thing that I don't even recall at the moment.
So much was going on, trying to use the original humour, that it just missed the mark.
We've had so many spoofs since then.
For example, all of the Scary Movie movies.
So I'm sorry to say, I really didn't like it. When I heard it was being remade, I wasn't happy about that. And sure enough, I'm far from happy with the outcome.
Best thing to do, watch the original instead imo.
