This is one of my favorites as well. My favorite scene is when they are all sitting down at lunch and Samantha says, "I'm dating a guy with the funkiest tasting spunk." The other ladies all look around at each other in disbelief. All of a sudden Charlotte gets up and runs out w/o a word. Then Miranda says, "and she's never coming back"! I could not stop laughing! That scene was priceless.

The guy she was dating, also played Will's boyfriend, the cop with the deep voice, on Will and Grace. This was just really a good episode all around.

Bravo to, Kim Cattrall, aka Samatha Jones for creating one of TV's unforgettable characters

I had the chance to see this at a Film Festival. It was a pretty good movie. The main character was quite charming. I also liked many of the other characters a lot in the movie like the main character's assistant, the mom of the victim, an old high school friend of the main character and even the low down sheriff. The sheriff was a perfect mixture of nastiness and humor, so he didn't come across as being so hateful all the time. My favorite character was probably the victim's brother. He didn't have a big career, great social life or the best morals, but there was something very likable and magnetic about him. Even though he sometimes got into trouble, he was funny, loyal to his friends and family and an okay guy.

There were a lot of laughs in this movie. There were also some good unexpected events that the viewer didn't see coming. Racism and discrimination is touched on a lot in this movie. However, it isn't that unbearable. It gives just enough to show how some evil and unfair way of thinking still exists. All in all Strange Fruit is a movie with a lot of emotion and bits of suspense that makes for good watching.

I just saw this movie last night at a film festival. When it first began I thought to myself, not another "queen" or "club" movie. For a while it seemed like that was the direction that it was going in. For me things began to change a little when John Rankin who plays Omar appears on screen. As the movie goes on you see what an adorable character he is. He is the modest, down to earth, boy next door type. He is such a beautiful and charming man. He is totally believable in his role. I felt like I could fall in love with him because he is so my type. Omar is not the main character in the movie, but he was for me.

Getting back to the rest of the movie, things got better and this turned out to be a pretty good movie. There were good, unexpected twists in the plot that you didn't see coming. There were a lot of laughs and some good music. I felt that a few things about the ending didn't seem too realistic, but other than that I really liked this movie. There are not that many black, gay romance movies out there, so I give props to the writer, director and star Maurice Jamal for bringing his vision to the screen. This is my favorite movie of the year so far.
