I have just watched the third film in this series, set roughly 10 years after the last.
The whole movie is around 10 people bickering. It is exhausting to watch and listen to. This movie is definitely for a younger generation than the last as this sort of constant barrage of verbal intercourse reminds me more of college kids bantering than anything else.
So, regardless of that its okay. Nice to see the band back together. Nothing going to set the world alight here just okay.
We do end up with what feels like the 10 horsemen but feel free to disagree.

What a show, i watched a rewatched the first two series, introduced friends to something non of us had heard of.
Kitty Flanagan is perfect as the capable but unconventional Fisk. From her morning coffee mishaps to the landlady from hell she is constantly put into modern challenging situations and flummoxed by being too polite and not wanting to offend.
I can relate!
And then there is series 3.......... This falls into the trap of turning every character up a notch but missing the point of the humour that brought us here. Let us hope there is a series 4 where they return to what made the show funny in the first place.

For the fans
If you have never seen the 1984 movie Spinal Tap then watch it, and if you liked it then watch it again, and again and again.
Sing the songs, enjoy every nuance of this amazing movie.
I watched the first movie in 1985 and have loved it ever since. I believed it and my only confusion came from the inclusion of Patrick Macnee. All the performances are so believable. All the mockumentaries that have followed are not a patch on this. Yes The Office is hilarious but you know its not real especially as the camera is treated as an extra person, in Tap it us not recognised and used as a pure fly on the wall.
So, Tap II?
It is a joy to see the band back together. The film uses a simple premise of a reunion gig and that works perfectly in forming a simple story line that does not try to outdo the original movie. The movie is alright but only if you get and appreciate the first movie of 40 years earlier.
Anyway, enough of my yackin, God Bless Spinal Tap.
