I actually started to watch this one before.. made it a couple minutes in and was like nahh and just turned on rust valley.. but today I came back across it again and said wth let's give it another shot. The 3 stars missing for me are basically because all of the vulgar language ( some is fine) and it can actually be a little bit cringe in some parts of the film. It was a lot more funnier than I had originally given it credit for! For what it is an original Netflix movie.... Not too bad. But I do have to say... they just made it to high school... so I'm kinda curious how the rest of it's gonna go... I'd be okay with a sequal.
Overall this movie is really good. Seems a little slow at first.. but keep going it does get better.
It has some goofs. And overall a few things that beyond what it is really doesn't make sense. But.. take it as what it is..
This movie gets you a little anxious... happy.. sad.. a little all over the place!
Now... the reason for the missing star..
With this being I assume directed mire toward the younger audience it does have a some things that parents may not really wan their kids to hear/ see.
Such as the words and scenes pertaining to death.
Die/death/murder/kill
And you don't actually see anything die... there are some heavy depictions that it happens/ed
But for me it rides a fine line right between a child not knowing what those things mean anyway and then the chance of questioning you what it means, and children that are old enough to understand that it's a part of life.
So if you shelter your child or feel you don't wish them to hear the above mentioned then you might want to wait a little while. Myself personally I would allow my child to watch ( I don't have children). But I don't see it being too much for a child to handle. Most 7 year olds hear so much worse at home or playing video games.

3 parts to this review.
1.) great film! Family friendly! Educational!
Great message!
2.) Recent floods of 1 stars make 0 sense. I feel like they didn't not really watch the film, didn't give it a chance or just have an ill will.
3.) before you decide to become the worlds biggest critic.. please allow me to remind you of a couple things... this is an independently made film. This film was not produced with millions of dollars. Finally, this film was not produced using certified A list talent. So before you rush and give it a review please keep in mind you are watching a small budget film with a Big message.
