I'm from Europe and remember moving to the City (at 25 about the same age as the lead character Jack is in the movie). Jack is tempted as was I, to try to fit in, to change who you are for a ticket into the more colorful life the NYC fashion scene provides.
Jack can opt to live that life or he can marry his high school sweetheart. If only the decision where that simple. Deciding to marry his girlfriend of seven years also means accepting the life that his father has lived and his father's father has lived. There are no decisions for him to make in that life (you marry, you buy a house, you pay your mortgage, you have kids, you die) but as director Elia Zois suggests, maybe having too many options is over-rated? This movie will make you think.
The photography is superb. The story line is fast passed. It's a perfect date movie. Go see it, you'll love it.
