I viewed this film at the Montreal World Film Festival in August of 2000, and left the theatre knowing that this was no doubt the best film I'd be seeing at the fest.
A stellar cast (including wonderful work from Julianna Margulies and Kyra Sedgwick- and their entire "family"), and a great twist to the ol' standby plot of Thanksgiving, made this movie the great work that it is! I went in wondering if I'd enjoy the movie, and left the theatre incredibly happy that I attended the Canadian premiere.
Though the cliché is certainly overused, I must use it in this instance: you'll laugh and you'll cry. It's true. "What's Cooking?" will certainly earn my box office dollars upon its opening weekend and I suggest you spend two great hours watching this film at your local theatre!
