Mr. Mukherji, This Was Not Expected of You!
16 August 2021
Outside of its imposing Cinematography or the mystifying Score (With an innate classical touch); the rest of the execution is plain ridiculous on so many levels. So much so that it comes across as intolerable at particular times. For a Srijit Mukherji directorial; I wasn't expecting any of that.

The series miserably falls flat for all intents and purposes. Whether it be the barrage of idiotic dialogues (Preposterous betweentimes), the monotonous nature of its Screenplay, or the countless loopholes and continuity errors (can't remember the last time I spotted so many of those); every single impediment seems to have led to its ultimate downfall.

Despite having a fascinating concept at their disposal; the makers couldn't really capitalize on its core prospects. This whole adaptation has failed us big time. I seriously can't tell how disgusted and infuriated It was to sit through the entirety of all nine episodes.

Not to mention, I absolutely despised Rahul Bose as Nirupam Chanda. He was simply vexatious, overly dramatic, and I find him to be an unfortunate choice for this specific role. On the other end, Badhon did respectably well as Mushkan Zuberi. Nothing fancy but she definitely got the gist! Anirban Bhattacharya as Atar Ali would be another honorable mention. And what about the rest? Well, the less you know the better.

Mr. Mukherji, WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!
