Bloodhound (IV) (2020)
10/10
Brisk and brilliant
3 October 2021
In a highly abbreviated runtime of only 3 minutes, 'Bloodhound' gives us an adorable dog, a very different take on Dracula, and clever, funny humor. I enjoy the wry sensibility Luke de Ayora lends to Dracula as the voice of the hapless vampire, and filmmakers Sophia Cacciola and Michael J. Epstein are delightfully nonchalant in their alternate portrayals of other classic characters. I appreciate the bare, honest simplicity of the very concept, and its realization. This is a silly, entertaining bit of fun, well worth a scant few minutes of our time.
