Maybe it's just me, but there is something "off" about a PPV event called Royal Rumble climaxing not with a Royal Rumble but with a rather predictable squash match - cum - angle for Wrestlemania. The show on the whole is way too long, but the Rumbles themselves deliver: the highlights of the men's are Brock Lesnar's surprisingly quick elimination, the one-on-one mini-match between the two finalists, and, of course, the Logan Paul - Ricochet mid-air collision; the women's Rumble doesn't have as many WOW moments but it has a steadier overall flow: despite the lack of big-name returnees ala Trish Stratus or Lita, and other current big names conspicuously missing, it maintains a relatively high energy level all the way. The Nia Jax segment was funny and I like how they are grooming the hot Raquel Rodriguez as the next female powerhouse - she certainly looks (and acts) the part. Bianca vs. Alexa was not bad but short and forgettable, and the less said about Bray Wyatt's match the better. 7/10.
