Preman (I) (2021)
6/10
Truly different
25 March 2023
With a stark contrast to the modernity often seen and a stellar performance by the two lead characters Preman succeed in producing an authentic experience. Rich agrarian backdrops and simplicity that contains flawed natures aiding primitive lawlessness to thrive was a refreshing experience and nostalgic to the developing world. Uncommon special effects that does the job well in action sequences. Buildups were perfectly intensifying. A variety of characters fitting the narrative. Preman is not all fireworks but it does make-up for any shortcoming with it's sincerity and the powerful performances.
