21 October 2023
A film about the efforts of poor people living on a modest street to move up the class. In the movie, we watch what two neighbor friends go through.

Selim (Ekrem Bora) is bold, fearless and has taken to illegal ways to get rich in a short time. Ali (Izzet Günay), on the other hand, is on his way to winning in an honest way. They both like the same girl (Ajda Pekkan).

Based on this story, the film shows the efforts made to move up the class in Kasimpasa, Istanbul, in 1966. The cinematographer did a nice job. The scene transitions were masterful.

PLACES: This film presents sections from Istanbul in 1966, Kasimpasa, Elmadag, Sahilyolu (Kennedy Street) and Unkapani Ataturk Bridge.
