Bears little resemblance to the charming original. Characters are flat, boring and not funny. Very little used if the countries traveled to, part of the appeal of the orginal.
Story absolutely inane - a daughter kidnapped to a circus? What next, a moustachioed villian tying someone to a railroad track?
Chet Atkins was somewhat likeable but also too ridiculous at times.
With a little more writing this could have had more of a chance, as some decent character actors were cast.
Some may want to watch it because it was Faith Ford's debut. Don't bother, she isn't given much to do.
