It's hard for me to rate this. If this was a comedy, I'd give it a 10. However, I think it was intended to be a movie to scare us. As a horror movie, I'd give it a 1. It didn't scare me at all. However, I have seen lots of horror movies.
I like corny movies because they provide unintentional comedy.
You can't blame bad acting totally on the actors and actresses. The cast may be very talented; however, a bad director and writers could not inspire them to be their best. Budget restraints could have a put a time limit on production so the director may not have had the time to redo a scene over again many times to get everything just perfect.
I think the characters should have studied Kevin in the Home Alone movies. I didn't know David Oman was a fan of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. It would be great if the executive producers would let CinemaSins purchase a copy of this movie and add some commentary.
I did like the 60s-themed set this movie had. If I went back in time, I'd grab a few vintage souvenirs and take them back with me to sell. The special effects were cool.
I think the reason this movie didn't get released to theaters, Netflix, and go straight to DVD was because a black woman was brutally murdered by a white man. Or maybe the public or the family of the Manson murder victims got upset that the producer, David Oman, for trying to profit over a tragedy.
