The Radio Host is called "Ioanna Behrman". It is a name compilation from the two protagonists of another of O'Henry's stories: "The last leaf". Namely they the artists "Joanna" and "Mr.Behrman".
The Radio station names itself "18.62". 1862 was the year O'Henry was born.
The director (Daskarolis) and the two protagonists (Siskou and Bozinidis) spent about two weeks of everyday rehearsals in order to find their characters. For the first week they didn't even touch the script.
The couples home was shot at the home of Thessaloniki based artist Vasilis Alexandrou. It wasn't found until one week prior to filming. The director wanted it so much she had to add a new scene to the script.
The snow in the scene where Della enters the hair dressers is real. It just happened to snow on the day of filming that scene, something highly unlikely in Greece.
