"Cut to the Chase" follows Max (Blayne Weaver, "6 Month Rule"), a down on his luck ex-con, who is constantly being bailed out by his sister Isobel (ErinCahill, "Power Rangers Time Force"). That is, until the day she disappears. Fearing for the safety of Isobel, Max dives back into the world of his past, through the criminal underbelly of Shreveport, to find his sister -all while trying to escape the clutches of the notorious crime boss known asThe Man (Lance Henriksen, "The Terminator," "Aliens", and "The X-Files" spinoff "Millennium") and his henchman (Patrick Day, "Favor"). Max's only ally in this race against time is a fellow criminal on the run, Nola Barnes (Lyndie Greenwood, the FOX hit "Sleepy Hollow") who harbors secrets of her own.

      Lyndie Greenwood, born and raised in Canada, developed a New Orleans accent for her role as Nola Barnes. The director wanted her to have a distinctive Southern Louisiana accent, differentiating her from the Shreveport natives. The North Louisiana accent is more of an East Texas drawl, lacking the Cajun influence.

    Very well acted on a shoe string budget

    This movie is an edge of the seat type experience. It is formulaic, but the formula has worked forever, and the screenwriter throws enough curve balls, to make it original. Nobody in this film is perfect, as it is in life. I saw a Question and Answer session with 9 of the crew members and they are all dedicated to the craft in a way that leads me to believe that this writer/ director Blayne Weaver is going somewhere good. The cinematography and film editing were exceptional. Tim Smith, stuntman and actor also has a future…..He was wonderful….
