This will be the 3rd ninja series after Ninja Sentai Kakuranger (1994) and Ninpuu Sentai Hurricaneger (2002).
One of its future episodes will air on the 40th anniversary of Secret Squadron Gorenger (1975) on April 5, 2015.
StarNinger, who is the sixth Ranger of the team, is the first ever gold-colored ninja in a Sentai and the first Ranger to be based on a cowboy.
