Jatt & Juliet 3’s dominance began in its opening week when it raked in a phenomenal 28.33 crore gross in India alone. The momentum continued throughout its theatrical run, with strong second and third weeks, with 10.04 crore gross and 4.80 crore gross, respectively.

The international market also embraced the film, contributing a staggering 41.28 crore in the first week, followed by 12.67 crore and 4.52 crore in the subsequent weeks.

The film was originally slated to release on 11th November alongside two sequels Rock On 2 and Chaar Sahibzaade – Rise of Banda Singh Bahadur, as well as a couple of other smaller films. This weekend saw Sony release two awards hopefuls; their directors have each received Oscar nominations for Best Foreign Language Film, and produced international blockbusters. With that kind of buildup, it’s unsurprising that both Ang Lee’s “Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk” and Paul Verhoeven’s “Elle” had strong openings. The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 has stormed to the top of the UK box office in its first weekend of release.

The latest instalment in the franchise, based on the dystopian novels by Suzanne Collins, has earned £12,654,109 since its release on Friday.

Alan Turing biopic The Imitation Game held second place in its second week of release, with earnings of £2,129,053.

Last week's box office topper, Christopher Nolan's sci-fi epic Interstellar, falls to number three this week with takings of £1,895,368, while family comedy Nativity 3: Dude, Where's My Donkey? drops one place to number four with £1,544,804 taken over the weekend.

Mr. Turner drops to number five in its fourth week of release, taking £356,743.

Chaar Sahibzaade makes its UK box office debut at number 10, taking in £129,328.

Given the film was to tell the generations to come about the real story behind the reverence of Shri Guru Govind Singh, its heart-warming that a lawyer in Ludhiana has collected funds and is showing the movie to about 3000 children from 5 different schools. In Aurangabad someone has booked theatre for 3 days and showing to everyone who wants to see the film. Gurgaon Dt star Mall has kept minimum cost for the ticket plus provided free beverage and snacks for the audience.
