Matthew Kaye was hired just a day before the taping of the first episode. He signed his contract minutes before the taping began.
Shawn Hernandez left the series to re-join TNA iMPACT! Wrestling (2004). But Hernandez was still under contract. TNA tried to buy Hernandez's contract but were refused. Hernandez had taped segments for TNA but they had to be scrapped.
Matt Sydal (Matthew Korklan), Michael Korklan, Aaron Aguilera, Kaos (Joey Munoz), Candice Dawson, Frankie Kazarian, and The Young Bucks (Matt Massie & 'Nick Jackson (V)') are among the wrestlers who turned down deals to appear on the series. Aaron Aguilera, Kaos and Candice Dawson did appear in Dark Matches, however.
Joey Ryan (Joey Ryan) turned down a deal to appear in the first season. He later joined the cast in the second season.
