First of all, I rate the character design highly. I gave points for adding black, red, blue, and purple characters to each character because they were easy to recognize. But... it's a story. This is a story that can be seen in games, just like old Japanese stories. As it is an action genre, friendship plays a big role. But you can't be strong if you can't do dirty things...? If you're a man, you might like it. But the setting of the main character and his father is too overdone. So if the main character doesn't work, the surrounding characters won't work either. But it's not that bad, so it's not something you can't watch.

I like anime but wating for more season for clearing story.

Shinmai Maou no Testament has everything: cute girls, fantasy, mythology, action, and romance. But excessive ecchi ruins it. Main character's power-ups rely on lewd acts? Frustrating. It's like the writers took a solid story and threw in unnecessary fan service.

Female characters are reduced to objects for protagonist's "growth," which is disappointing. They have potential, but it's wasted. Action scenes are intense, world-building's impressive, but ecchiness overshadows.

I'd love to give it a higher rating, but the ecchi content is overwhelming. Watch the censored version for sanity's sake. Fans of High School DxD, Trinity Seven, or Date A Live might enjoy, but beware.

A missed opportunity. Worth watching (censored) but disappointing. Engaging plot and lovable characters can't save it from unnecessary fan service. With more restraint, this could've been a top-tier anime.

Anime is well made but the characters are not fully explained about their backstory and plz focus more on the story than ecchi. Basically this series need an proper ending.this is a lot like high school dxd,those who are the fans of high school dxd you can watch it. It is definitely enjoyble and fighting scene are also good but we definitely need season 3 for proper explanation of the story and the characters and good animation. Thanks for this series.waiting for season 3.

The Testament of Sister New Devil is pretty much a clone of High School DxD (I actually thought a HSDxD trailer at the end of the disc was for another TTOSND release!). The character designs and voice acting are nigh-on identical. Both also feature a TON of fanservice; the difference is that HSDxD does it right. With TTOSND it's shoehorned and drawn-out so much it actually starts to get boring (never thought I'd fast-forward so much through boobs and upskirt). It's frustrating because TTOSND is a pretty decent fantasy yarn - the mythology is pretty cool, the characters are interesting, the action is well-done, and the girls are cute. If they'd just cut the whole (stupid) 'master-servant pact', that would have fixed it. They could still have had plenty of T&A. What's good gets this a 7/10, but it could have been higher.

Between love and hate I couldn't decide, but I didn't stop watching it either.

With an amusing twist in the first episode the ecchi starts on a good foot, cheese and stilted dialog aside.

As the season progressed and much as I wanted to hate "ToaNSD" for its predictability, "Fan Service" and shoehorned ecchi moments it grew on me.

The "broken" protagonists growth was imperfect, the animation and story made me think it was a dated early 2000's anime vs 2015. But for all of that, for every flaw easily critiqued, I kept watching the anime and before long the first season was over.

The 2nd season was even more over the top, more Demons, more cheese, more fetishes and seemed to make even less sense.

Pros:

• Classic Ecchi moments.
• Predictable but lovable characters.
• Consistent animation.
• English Dubbing.
• Amusing "Fan Service".
• There is an OVA.
• Only 2 seasons.

Cons:

• Early episodes have some silted dialog (English Dubbing).
• Story often advanced with little explanation, I'm assuming those who've read the Mangas could follow allow better.
• Story details left unresolved, for example the protagonist has two mothers, and a former god is watching over him, but that's left on the table.
• Main characters are chumps in one episodes and nearly godlike in another (without a training montage to justify the "upgrade".
• Some seriously over the top "Fan Service".
• Fight scenes are often cut short and lack any epic flair.
• The protagonist takes demon drugs for "reasons", seems like an unneeded story device.
• Much if the audio effects seem "sampled", pretty sure they used the "Tardis" sound effects and different audio details from other anime's.

As I said above this has story which is actually strong and also the characters are rather beautiful (eg. Mio, Chisato Hasegawa) but... I didn't like the way they represented, like it's has full of lewd scenes (some might like 😉😉) it's too uncomfortable for those who don't like borderline h (even I don't like but still I like 😂😉😉) , they could have lessened the lewd scenes a but at least, and lastly in the ova of 2nd season(or maybe 3rd season's ova ie. Departure) we see lactation.... Watch it completely then you will get it🙏

It would've been better if the succubus's part was replaced something meaningful. I liked the direction and storyline (apart from succubus's deeds and actions and their consequences). Thank you.

Like this anime very much..waiting for the next seasons

Basically high school dxd but super watered down. And raunchy.

When a show forcefully inserts lewd scene then this type of anime began.

Ok i get it some time lewd scene is funny and interesting but in every episode and dumbest excuses and without any buildup to support this activity.

Also the hero is predator for every women in this anime, i like to say what the hell wrong with him, also the cut are too much in his body.

I think the writer should focus more on the story depth but overall anime is good well i can compare it with high school dxd. This anime definitely deserve 7.5 rating. We desperately need season 3.plz make this series complete. We want a proper ending of this series. Well thank you team for this lovely series.waiting for season 3. Thank you.

Nothing is there complaint, maybe it has a number of sexual scenes so it maybe hard to watch in group (so watch alone). Story and characterization is super awesome and absolutely enjoyable. Must watch anime. Worthy to watch. I am seriously waiting for the next season but so disappointed as next season works are still not started due to some issues with the production company. It will be nice if the production company takes some initiative. It is such a great series which needs some serious attention. It is totally underrated. I am recommending everyone to watch this anime. Headphones are must needed while watching.

Many other anime series are more deserving of additional seasons, so it's puzzling why this one received such attention. It's truly disappointing to invest resources in this poorly crafted production. To be completely honest, it was difficult to watch, and I finally gave up by episode four. It feels like a diluted version of High School DxD, and a poorly executed one at that. While I appreciate fan service for adding interest to regular anime, there can certainly be an overload, and this show exemplifies that.

The story is overall very good the characteristics development from the very starting of the episodes is literally very good I was kind of speechless when I saw it's first season perfect comedy perfect actions perfect story line and perfect echiness but but drawback of the season first is the boss should be more terrifying brutral and I guess the tried but I give it review out of 10 out of 9 but over all first season was very good it contain many of my favourite moments but watching it as a story not will satisfy you as it is considered as 18 + anime I guess they should not be too much focus to the last people they should have focus on the story so they can build a very good story I yes he is in one was very good they have to end it but they started season 2 there was something missing from the very first episode the plot was missing like in a very first four episode there was no a very big blot work on there are just girls coming and going and main character having fun second episode was good but after 5th episode story goes to well in the demon world and I don't know why they have shown the demon world as it is very good place to live more better than our planet Earth it should be a kind of dog but overall good and last episode satisfied me a lot and it is very good to watch but if you are watching it kindly download the uncensored version or you gonna regret.

This isn't bad as there is a storyline, but I gave it a one-star rating because I am so outraged at the pornographic nature, and it didn't deserve other seasons. I am outraged that men are still treating women as playthings. No, it's too much.

The ratings were low for this on IMDb and Crunchyroll, so why did they give it another season? All I can think is that it was some Male Executives wanking off - yes I am being grosse as this is a grosse anime, it did have an interesting storyline so stick to it rather than putting some false crap like its a suckubas fault.
