“I didn’t wanted to leave you, I didn’t want to fight. Started to cry then remembered — I’m the face of Gucci,” Miley Cyrus cheekily sang during a performance of her hit song “Flowers” at the Gucci Summer Celebration on Thursday.
The star, who is the face of Gucci Flora perfumes, hosted a poolside party with the brand at the Chateau Marmont, making one of her first public appearances since winning two Grammys for “Flowers” in February.
Cyrus danced her way onto the pool deck midway through the event, stopping for photos while jokingly asking her team for suggestions on poses — before grabbing a bottle of the new Gucci Flora Gorgeous Orchid Eau de Parfum as a prop. She also joined Gucci creative director Sabato De Sarno for some pictures behind a keyboard, before returning later in the night to sing.

When Sabrina Carpenter was six, she watched Disney’s Hannah Montana and realized exactly who she wanted to be.
“I remember…watching the pilot and being like ‘I want to do that. I want to sing, and I want to act, and I want to dance. I want to do all those things,’’ she said in a 2020 interview. Three years later, Carpenter would end up getting her big break because of the show’s star Miley Cyrus, competing in the MileyWorld Superstar Contest to get a record deal. She placed...

There is little doubt that modern life can feel like an assault sometimes. One minute you’re playing with your kid in the garden and chasing a butterfly, the next your phone is offering you a window to a world of political problems and conflict. One seemingly as far removed as possible from the other. José Cardoso captures that sense of slippage in Flowers, which won the Grand Jury Short Film prize at Sheffield DocFest this year.
His film segues between ideas of peace and war, with his family interactions over frogs and other elements of nature cropping up like a chorus. Making the case for peace is Buddhist Thích Nhất Hạnh who suggests we should find compassion for our enemies. On the war side of the equation, meanwhile, we see the likes of Brazil’s former president Jair Bolsonaro advocating the destruction of the Amazon due to the invasion of Ukraine.

Take a look at pop singer, actress Miley Cyrus, posing as ‘the face’ of the new Gucci fragrance, “Flora Gorgeous Orchid Eau de Parfum”, photographed by Tyler Mitchell:
Cyrus made her acting debut in three episodes of the Toronto-shot TV series "Doc" (2002) with her father Billy Ray Cyrus, before appearing in a minor role for the film "Big Fish"(2003).
In 2006, she was established as a teen idol with the success of the "Hannah Montana" franchise, a former Disney Channel sitcom in which she portrayed the role of 'Miley Stewart' and 'Hannah Montana'.
Cyrus later recorded numerous songs for the soundtrack of the first season, signing a deal with Hollywood Records and releasing the album "Hannah Montana 2: Meet Miley Cyrus", selling over three million copies in the US.
To promote the album, Cyrus embarked on the "Best of Both Worlds Tour", later adapted into the 2008 feature "Hannah Montana...

Holy cats, my creeps! Believe me when I say you have ne’er, e’er experienced a fright flick quite like Flowers. I ain’t just blowin’ smoke up yer ass, either. This thing is brutal, gore-drenched, ultra-disturbing, and completely devoid of dialogue. Yup, you read that right: in a display completely the antithesis of yours cruelly, not a single character in this beast opens their traps.
As you can imagine, I just had to talk to the dude responsible for this hard-hittin’ horror show! And, watta ya know, here he is now in the Crypt o’ Xiii! Let’s all put our claws and paws together for Phil Stevens!
Famous Monsters. How in the hell did you come up with a fright flick like Flowers, and how did you come to make it devoid of dialogue?
Phil Stevens. For as long as I can remember, I was always writing scripts or filming something.
