I know the area this was filmed in very well, and the filmmakers got it down to a tee.
This isn't a film for all, with drug taking being a major part of it, a little violence, but it hits the spot so often with its comedy, I laughed out loud quite a few times.
All the actors involved give it their all, and appear to be having a blast.
The storyline is fresh and unique, I didn't see where it was heading until quite a way in.
Knocked a few points off as there was a part near the end that just didn't make sense or ring true, and this spoilt the ending of the film a little for me.
If you're broadminded though, I'd recommend a viewing of this, and if you live in Pendleton, you must see it!

A very funny film at times but does contain some violance and referance to drug taking. Not for all the family. More of a TV movie.
Follows the lives of some very different charactors of a Manchester (England) council high rise block . Some more dysfunctional then others who try to make a stand against a local loan shark.
This is one of the better british comedy movies iv'e seen in recent time. It was pretty good. It had an interesting plot that we haven't actually seen before as far as I can tell. The tenents of a highrise get to gether to kill off the loan shark thats making their lives miserable. Its played out for laughs in areas but at its core its a dark comedy. Theres a little bit of character development here and there with a few of the tenants. Some parts made me laugh but really I was watching it for the actual plot. The cast all did well with their characters, including a young michelle keegan. Overall pretty good.
A comedy masterpiece it is not, but if you like daft comedy, this is a film you'd enjoy.
Yes, the whole thing is daft, but it's not trying to be anything other than what it is! There's some really dark, humorous moments in there and it's an easy watch.
Some really good performances too set against an unconvincing backdrop. It's more like a play so the authenticity of the scenes and cinematography aren't as important in this film in my opinion. It's a bit like This is England meets Shameless, crossed with Sean of the Dead.
Don't expect Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas, just enjoy it for what it is. Some will love it, some will hate it.

Yes its daft, its a comedy after all, but its funny with great characters. I'm not sure why it's got such bad ratings. Enjoyable British comedy for fans of Shameless. Give it a go.
