The idea of this is terrific: everyone knows Storm Troopers can't hit the side of a Hutt. But it would seem neither can the comedic timing of this short. We have here minor humor (such as making fun of the instructor's name), grievous misuse of weaponry and questionable mentality on the part of all the characters. The trouble is there are just so many missed opportunities for humor. Not much of a laugh-out-loud in the entire thing. Absurdity is the name of the game, and the absurdity isn't all that funny.
Nice try, I'll give it 5 stars for effort, but frankly the script needed a lot more polish by funnier writers. I'd like to see this idea re-done with more wit. Don't give up guys; try it again. Run the script past a test-audience before filming it. Give it another shot; the first one missed the target. ; )
