The Gruzdevs is a large dysfunctional family from Mamonovo of the Moscow region. The family's father Gosha is a selfish alcoholic who does not want to take part in the fate of his offspring. His eldest daughter, Katya, tries to replace mother and father to her siblings in complete poverty, to earn some money and raise younger siblings Fil, Yura, Vityok and Kristina. Resting in the club with her friend Oksana, who rents a room with her boyfriend Dron at the Gruzdev's house, Katya gets acquainted with the cute guy named Den who makes a living in a very original way.

The Gruzdevs go to search Gosha who unexpectedly went missing. A dead body was found on the railway tracks, Katya comes to the identification but it turns out that it's not Gosha. Katya learns that her new boyfriend Den is involved in the disappearance of her father. Meanwhile, Gosha wake up in Tallinn with no idea how he ended up there. Returning to his native land, he gets acquainted with Yulya's mother Ella and finds in her house a new shelter.

The Gruzdevs is visited by the inspector of the housing commission to inquire about Gosha's aunt health who is the only official owner of the house in which the family resides. Trying to avoid eviction, the Gruzdevs are looking for a twin of a deceased relative to present their "aunt" to the inspector. Meanwhile, police officer Anton, Katya's childhood friend, confesses his love to her, but Katya decides to reunite with Den. Ella is making attempts to defeat agoraphobia and leave the house. Yura's classmate Marina Kandybina offers him dating.
