This film rattles along at a good pace and doesn't feel the need to extend its 80 minutes running time with unnecessary backstories. It doesn't ask us to like the characters or feel any sympathy for them - they are what they are, take them or leave them. Ten minutes shorter than any premier league match with a lot more action and better French acting to boot.

French action movies of the recent past, have one thing in common: they do know their action stunt stuff. So even if you're not that into the stories or characters of the movies, at least you'll have something to enjoy. Be it a car chase, a shootout or just the pure tension in builds in confrontational scenes between the characters.
This has a gang of people who know their criminal abilities and do utilize them as good as they can. With a charismatic leader like that, it's not that hard to get that. Of course as you can imagine, some things will go awry. The question is, will they get straight again. Although which side are you on? Can you cheer them on? It's just a movie, but I know some people have issues with rooting for criminals even in a make belief scenario like this ...

That's one quick-fire French gritty gangster movie, showing the true face of crime. Outcomes of certain actions were logical and this is the main reason makes sense. Actions have consequences. Nobody said they should be beautiful. It's short and it's real. Press play.

A pretty straightforward film.
'The Crew' starts off intriguing, as we meet Yanis, Eric & Co. to get a gist of what they're about. Then comes the big event, which precedes the finale. As mentioned, it's straight to the point - not much character development etc.
It all becomes a bit too predictable, with the ending concluding a little open-ended. A few other things slightly bugged me, like when the big things go down the roads are empty - made the world, at those points, feel empty.
In conclusion, it's an average film - not terrible, not great. The second act is the standout part. Sami Bouajila is the star of this, though props to Guillaume Gouix too.

No matter what, Braqueurs will always draw comparisons to the 1995 Hollywood movie Heat as Heat was made 20 years earlier and has a very similar storyline. But on the whole Braqueurs has a soul on its own and is very good to watch, even as cliches galore. Having been fed on a regular dose of Hollywood styled action and heist movies since the mid 80s, I found Braqueurs to be quite impressive and engaging, with some strong believable characters and hardcore action stunts. Director Julien Leclercq is impress us with his treatment and storytelling ability.
Cinematography is very strong and the action scenes are very well shot and presented. Screenplay though cliched heavily or repeated many hundred times in the past decades, is still impressive with its characters and pacing. The ability to spring a surprise is another strong point of Julien Leclerq with his visuals. Music was handled very well, in fact the music director knew very well, when to keep quiet. I wish the editor had put in more than the final cut's 81 minutes runtime. Production design, costumes and makeup were all good. On the acting front though nobody impressed much but the fact is nobody disappointed either.
Overall, Braqueurs is a highly recommended movie for all action movie fans around the world. The movie may not suit young audiences, as it contains some nudity. At 81 minutes runtime this movie will be over in a jiffy and is worth a try for its pulsating joyride it provides. Braqueurs, the French gangster flick is the kind of movie that seriously punches way above its weight and is in line with Troopa de elite, The Raid and Extraction to name a few others. A solid 6.8 stars out of 10 for a serious but fun stellar action movie.

Okay guys, give this movie a chance. The plot is decent and the movie is not long, it's long enough for you to engage the characters and really get into it. Looking forward to the sequel!

Not a bad action film. Subtitles as is a French movie but I changed the language so watched in English. This film has plenty of action/shooting so you won't be disappointed. The story is quite thin but it's watchable for something different.

Good action for a B-movie. Not much story if you are looking for that, just simple plot, straight to action. You wont get deep in any character. But that's ok for me as I didn't even realized I was fully engaged throughout. Its only too bad that story ended abruptly. I wish they developed the ending more. But its already 2 hours.
The story is never exiting, drags along and if youre here for the action you could better watch another movie.
Also it's hard to find sympathy for the main characters, who all make dumb decisions all the time and are easy to dislike. One cliche follows the other quickly, as well in the storyline as in the characters. Boring.

The Crew is a very tense film, but nothing stellar if you're not in a thinking mood. Although not the most intelligent crime thriller, dropping the in-your-face attitude of the typical action blockbuster benefits the suspense of this movie. More often than not, I found myself contemplating what would happen next, above all else. And, with the best timing--although not too frequently--morbidly quick action cuts in to blow the tension. If you want helicopters dropping nuclear warheads on every world leader while the protagonist has to scale buildings in order to save the planet from extinction--go watch Mission Impossible. But if you want a story capitalizing on tension and brevity in order to recall the double-edged tragic tales of an assortment of real, tangible characters, The Crew is a great choice.

What more can I say ? I really enjoyed this movie. French movies are awesome.
Only complaint was the subtitles wasn't what the actors were saying.

I was interested in watching this French crime drama/actioner to see what they would accomplish on a budget smaller than a Hollywood blockbuster. The look of the movie is acceptable, though throughout it's clear that the movie is on a somewhat more limited scale. But that isn't really the problem with the movie. Whether you are French or not, most likely you'll find the movie to be mostly drab. There's far too much talk, and none of the talk is particularly colorful or interesting. As for the action sequences, they are okay, but due to the aforementioned lower budget, they are not as grand scale or exciting as in Hollywood movies. Not an engaging movie, as you've probably concluded, though it's brief running time (81 minutes) does prevent it from joining the list of all time worst crime/action movies.

This is the most boring heist movie I've ever seen. I couldn't believe how boring it was. I watched half of it and had to turn it off because I was so bored. There was absolutely no action, no suspense, nothing. The writing just wasn't compelling enough. And I should have turned it off sooner but I kept thinking that it would get going but it never did. You shouldn't be able to watch half of an action movie and have there be no action. Just terrible.

If the ending had not been completely senseless, would've gotten a much higher rating.

It has to be, it ended so abrupt, I could actually see on screen "...to be continued".
I mean good acting, good action, why would you finish it this way?? Man, they've ruined what promised to be an excellent one.

Wonderfully paced. A lot of action and violence. Forget American cinema do you watch anything good you got to go foreign.
It is a pure action movie, rather well made. Story is not very credible and we lack empathy towards the characters. Better off avoiding it.

For some it can be boring, for me is action at another level, more smart than more action movies.

The Crew has lots of action and gunfire, some scenes of which are genuine surprises. But there's really not much of a story to sink your teeth into.
