Season 1 is the only season where Blaze uses his Blazing Speed himself; beginning in Season 2, he may share the Blazing Speed with another character so they can go fast with him.
Crusher became less of a cheater in the newer seasons.
Season 2 introduced subplots that feature Crusher and Pickle in their own situations related to the story but rarely ever intersect with Blaze's mission.
Season 3 (beginning with the Wild Wheels theme) updated the show's animation so that the backgrounds are more detailed and the trucks are reflective; the animals are also redesigned to look more realistic and akin to their real-life counterparts.
The series is largely based on Dora the Explorer (2000), but the roles of the protagonist and assistant have their species swapped and are both male.
