Grindsploitation (2016)

Trivia

Grindsploitation

Edit
Prior to its DVD and on-demand release, Grindsploitation had a limited VHS release with Sub Rosa Studios on July 1st 2016. With the final run of VCRs being manufactured in the same month, this makes Grindsploitation one of the very last films to be released on VHS while the VCRs were in production.
In the segment "Hamburger! The Rapist?", the characters "Charlie Freak", "Clean Willie", "Chino", "Daddy G", "Dr. Wu" and "Josie" are all named after Steely Dan songs.
Shawn C. Phillips , Nathan Head and Melissa Hollett, who all star in the segment "Deathrealm" together, would later go on to star in the two "Blood Curse" movies together: Blood Curse: The Haunting of Alicia Stone and Blood Curse II: Asmodeus Rises, these films also feature Lloyd Kaufman from Grindsploitation (2016).
The script that Melissa Hollett 's character holds during her audition in the Deathrealm segment is actually an unused script from Blood Curse: The Haunting of Alicia Stone.
For the segment, "Narc Force," all the footage featuring the character Kung-Fu was shot early 2007 for the fake Grindhouse trailer contest for the movie Grindhouse. It was never finished. When the opportunity showed up for Grindsploitation, the short was finally finished 8 years later.
