Most of the shots of Korda'a wandering in the wilderness were filmed with just Chad Perkins (camera), Mikey Perkins (assistance), and Natty Perkins (Korda'a) on little family road trips around Washington state.
Most of the shots in the night scene and about half of the shots in the goodbye scene (when Ta'ani abandons Korda'a in the wilderness) were pickup shots, filmed a month after production had wrapped. These shots were then edited together in the final piece.
The musical score was recorded with a 20-piece volunteer orchestra in the chapel at Bastyr University in Kenmore, WA.
At the end of the film, Korda'a pulls a small version of The Assurance out of her pocket. This shot was filmed on over a green screen on a backyard deck outside of the director's home three years after the initial production.
