Peter Kay and Sian Gibson in Car Share (2015)

Trivia

Car Share

Edit
The Fiat 500L was chosen for the program because the dashboard was deep enough to mount the mini cameras used for filming.
Sian Gibson cites that the show effectively relaunched her acting career; before taking on the role of Kayleigh, Gibson had been working in a call centre due to it becoming difficult to get roles.
Peter Kay was not asked to take the role; he was asked to look over the script, and, being very pleased with it, eventually wound up in the main role.
Despite being a Peter Kay comedy, the radio heard throughout the series is not Chorley FM, the fictional radio channel created for That Peter Kay Thing (1998) and used in Phoenix Nights (2001) and Max & Paddy's Road to Nowhere (2004). This may be due to the fact a real Chorley FM had been on air since 2006.
Sian Gibson, who plays Kayleigh, was born in 1976. The name Kayleigh was almost unheard-of before 1985 in the UK, when the prog-rock band Marillion popularized it with a number-two hit single.
