FAQ

Counterpart

FAQ

Starz COO Jeffrey Hirsch addressed the cancellation and admitted that the show's audience was "too male" to fit into its new female-focused strategy.

No, they wrapped it up pretty well. Season 2 was planned out knowing it would be their last.

Different take: yes, Season 2 does end with a cliffhanger, something dramatic that we don't know how it would unfold (were there a third season).

But the "cliffhanger" in the last few minutes of the last episode looks like it was tacked on just to leave a plotline open for a possible continuation. The two seasons together actually tell a complete story that resolves all of the major questions raised by the plot, so there is no reason not to watch this outstanding show just because it was cancelled after two seasons.

No. The production company shopped it around, but nobody picked it up. In April 2019 they officially declared the series cancelled.
