13 Weird Stories (2015)

Trivia

13 Weird Stories

Edit
The idea for the project born in 2009, when Ricardo Ghiorzi wanted to make a film called "Almanac" only with short stories about werewolves. Years later, inspired by the movie The ABCs of Death (2012), he decided to turn the project into "13 Weird Stories", exchanging letters with numbers that guests directors should use somehow in their stories.
Four of the filmmakers involved in this film had directed episodes for horror anthologies before: Paulo Biscaia Filho directed Nevermore - Três Pesadelos e Um Delírio de Edgar Allan Poe (2011); Felipe M. Guerra and Ricardo Ghiorzi directed episodes of A Maldição do Sanguanel (2014), and Petter Baiestorf is one of the directors of The Black Fables (2015).
The film brings together seven people who had already worked together before in the horror anthology A Maldição do Sanguanel (2014): directors Felipe M. Guerra and Ricardo Ghiorzi, Cláudia Borba (which was an actress in that movie and directs one of the episodes in this one), producer and assistant director Daniela Monteiro and actors Eliseu Demari, Oldina Cerutti Do Monte and Renoaldo Pavan.
In the seventh segment ("O Deus Neon"), one of the comments posted on an Internet forum is signed by Esquartejador Metropolitano (in English, Metropolitan Ripper). "O Esquartejador Metropolitano" is the project of a feature film that Ricardo Ghiorzi tries to make since 2010.
In the third segment ("Pé de Cabra"), the protagonist is reading a newspaper. One of the headlines talks about the mystery of the disappearance of a delivery boy. This is a direct reference to facts shown in the previous segment ("Encomenda Especial"), and the article includes a photo of the actor Eliseu Demari, who appeared in that segment.
