The original Super Milk Chan show from the nineties, prior to the 2004 sequel aired on Adult Swim (In the United States) or in Animax (In Latin America)
I watched this in the (now defunct) Locomotion channel, which was dedicated to Adult animation: This aired very late at night, despite not being particularly explicit. (Sure, there were a couple of crass jokes there and there, but most of these jokes were pretty tamed anyway)
At first, the cute art style made think this was a show for kids, but in reality was a surreal comedy like Space Ghost Coast to Coast, filled with nonsensical conversations. A "comedy for stoners" if you prefer.
Milk was much nicer here than in the sequel series, and she behaved more like an actual child, being easily distracted and prone to forget things. Maybe the idea here was to parody other cartoons with little children as superheroes, like The Powerpuff Girls. Who knows.
Well, now that the review is done, let's go eat sushi or something.
