How do you see your way beyond? A painter loses her creative vision at the same time that her father, now going blind, moves in with her. She faces the same degenerative disease. Will she overcome fear, anger, career setbacks, to take care of her loved one and find her creativity again - with her own disability hovering in the future?

A middle-aged painter, Renee, struggles to do her creative work and balance life responsibilities, as her elderly father moves in with her. Her father loses his sight while she loses her artistic vision. Continually interrupted by the needs of others: her father and her students, Renee is unable to move out of a creative impasse. Her longtime dealer rejects her work for a major upcoming show. Renee's genetic diagnosis reveals she has same genetic susceptibility to losing her sight as her father. She rejects her father's suggestion she do something else besides art - as he has done by giving up his career in astronomy and now taken up playing the piano again. Renee declares she is not ready to give up, that she has not done what she needs to do, and crumples in despair. How will Renee move from overwhelmed, confused and over care taking, to make a transition as an artist, while balancing responsibilities, and confronting failure, fear and impending disability?—Joan Dart
