Trivia

Beware the Moonlight

Edit
The entire project was written, shot, edited and scored in less than 48 hours for the 2015 Los Angeles 48 Hour Film Project. All entries to the festival were required to include the following: A handbook/instructions as a prop, a character named Cash or Carly Fitzwater (Best Friend), and the line of dialogue "No. Guess again." (or "Nope. Guess again.").
Call times started at 8 am, Saturday August 8th, 2015. Production didn't wrap until about 29 hours later on Sunday afternoon.
Actress and First Assistant Director, Miranda Downey, was so inspired by this role she went on to become a professional mermaid and acquired her NAUI specialty dive Mermaid Level 1 certification. She uses art and storytelling to raise awareness about plastic pollution and climate justice.
The bloody murder sequence was shot in director Ryan Stockstad's bedroom. Consequently, for about a week after the shoot, he had to sleep on the living room couch until the fake blood could be scrubbed off the walls, carpeting and bed.
Actress Miranda Downey flew from Denver to Los Angeles to participate on the film.
