The punk rock group Spicy Bits seen at Max's featured B.G. Berlin as singer, Alison East on lead guitar, Mark Edmands on drums and Kip Kuba (Gregory Pittman) on bass guitar. The final group at Max's, The Fast, included band members Miki Zone, Paul Zone and Armand Zone.
The film's new footage was shot in 7 to 8 days.
Punk rockers The Squirrels, the first band seen at Max's, included two future mainstream actors in their lineup: Victor Colicchio and Frank Cadillac.
