‘Black Clover’ Is on Thin Ice Because of Its New Chapter Release Schedule
Image
Yuki Tabata released chapters 381, 382, and 383 of Black Clover all at once, but fans do not seem happy with this new release schedule. Aside from the issues in the plot itself, launching three chapters all at once comes with its own set of problems. Viz Media does not allow subscription-less members to read more than three of the latest chapters. Which means fans have no means to read the previous few chapters from an official source.

This is a significant issue because the manga releases chapters every two to three months, and by the time a new chapter is out, fans need to read the previous one to catch up to the plot again. Nonetheless, the three-chapter release has caused whiplash to fans as too many things seem to have been crammed together just for the sake of it.

10 Best Kingsley Ben-Adir Movies & TV Shows, Ranked
Image
It's truly a testament to Kingsley Ben-Adir's talents that in a show as abysmal as Marvel's "Secret Invasion," he still managed to squeeze a gem of a performance out of it. There's a lot that went wrong with "Secret Invasion," but Ben-Adir as the disillusioned Skrull, Gravik, brought a level of gravitas to the freedom fighter who believes the best way forward for Skrull liberation is to make Earth only hospitable for the alien race. It's only a shame Gravik dies at the end of the show, thereby preventing him from really making a mark on the Marvel Cinematic Universe in a better project, but it shows how Ben-Adir is so often the best part of whatever he's in.

After making a mark in the theatre world, Kingsley Ben-Adir started appearing in an assortment of British television, as he himself was born in London, England. Now, he's starred in...

Anna Kendrick's Self-Directed New Movie Continues a Stunning Four-Year Rotten Tomatoes Streak
Image
Many actors try to pick projects that would get them critical recognition and lead to awards and other accolades, yet there are few guarantees in the film industry that a film will be a hit with both critics and the audience. Anna Kendrick, who is just fresh off her first directed movie, has managed quite an impressive streak with the critics.

Anna Kendrick's first role was in the 1998 Broadway musical High Society, which also led to her first big nomination: a Tony Award nod for Best Featured Actress in a Musical. She didn't win and went on to make her feature debut in 2003's musical comedy Camp, and a supporting role in the Twilight Saga. Although her acting credits include over 50 titles, both live-action and voiceover roles, she has achieved an amazing Rotten Tomatoes streak that has lasted over the last four years, and her new movie, Woman of the Hour,...

However, the thing that fans of the famous and rich Anna Kendrick wouldn't expect is what her directorial debut is about. After all, Anna chose to direct and star in a movie that shines light on the most disturbing episode of The Dating Game.

Why Don’t Studios Make Christmas Movies Like They Used To?
Image
Social media users recently marveled that last month marked 20 years since three modern Christmas favorites — New Line’s Elf, Universal’s Love Actually and Miramax’s Bad Santa — all hit theaters within weeks of each other. Two decades later, you don’t need to feel like a cotton-headed ninny-muggins if you’re among those wondering why studios don’t release holiday theatrical offerings in the way they once did.

Although most Christmas films don’t tend to follow the path of, say, 1990’s Home Alone, which topped the domestic box office for a whopping 12 straight weeks, they had typically been a staple of the release calendar, with a handful of titles hitting theaters annually, as recently as the late 2010s. That list includes such 2016 theatrical offerings as Almost Christmas, Bad Santa 2, Office Christmas Party and Why Him?, followed by 2017’s Daddy’s Home 2, A Bad Moms Christmas and animated...

All the People Anna Kendrick Has Dated Over the Years
Anna Kendrick has been making waves in Hollywood since her film debut in 2003's "Camp." Throughout the late 2000s and early 2010s, Kendrick gained traction as an actor, appearing in four of the five Twilight movies, as well as "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World," "Up in the Air," and "50/50" all by 2011. Arguably, she exploded into the spotlight following her role as Beca Mitchell in the 2013 musical comedy "Pitch Perfect," in which she starred alongside Rebel Wilson, Adam DeVine, and Brittany Snow.

Since the success from "Pitch Perfect," Kendrick has continued to take on lead roles in animated films like "Trolls" and heartwarming holiday movies like Disney+'s "Noelle." Most recently, the actor diverted from her musical/comedic roots and starred in the indie psychological thriller "Alice, Darling."

Outside of her prolific acting career, Kendrick typically keeps her personal life private. However, Kendrick garnered attention after she was rumored to...

Best Manga Couples of 2022
Image
The vast majority of shonen manga's disregard for romance in 2022 naturally complicates a list that celebrates the best couples in manga. Moreover, most of the already few series that do greatly benefit by featuring these types of relationships focused on other aspects of their stories this year or have been building up to a moment that never had a chance to transpire in 2022.

Unfortunately, Blue Exorcist, which ended its hiatus almost halfway through 2022 in May, never had a chance to explore the deepening relationship between Rin and Shiemi as the Vatican took Shiemi to the mysterious Saiku Palace where she has been learning about her true purpose since chapter 99.5 (which came out in 2020). In fact, it was during chapter 99.5 that she finally admitted her feelings for Rin, and in chapter 114 when just getting to see Rin's face during his brief visit at the palace made her feel better. Rhom's Nicole Accuses Larsa of Trying to ‘Destroy’ Julia’s Marriage
Image
Dr. Nicole Martin called out The Real Housewives of Miami co-star Larsa Pippen and accused her of trying to "destroy" and "ruin" Julia Lemigova's marriage. Larsa is at odds with a number of the housewives in Rhom season 5. The new season premiered recently and revealed Larsa's rift with her longtime friend Lisa Hochstein. Larsa and Lisa spewed insults at each other after Larsa caught wind of Lisa's shady remarks about her new high-rise condo. Elsewhere, Larsa explained her ongoing feud with Julia and Adriana de Moura. But it looks like Lisa, Julia, and Adriana aren't the only people on Larsa's hit list.

Nicole is sounding off in response to Larsa unearthing claims that Julia was caught making out with a mystery man. With Julia being married to tennis legend Martina Navratilova, Nicole believes Larsa was purposely trying to "destroy" Julia's marriage by bringing up the gossip during filming for Rhom.

8 Best Christmas Movies On Hulu
Image
Though Hulu might not be the first streaming platform audiences would think of when it comes to Christmas movies, it holds its own against some of the bigger services. Disney+ might have Home Alone and HBO Max might have Miracle on 34th Street, but between some original content, a couple of 'so bad they're good' movies, and soon-to-be classics, Hulu is a major player in the streaming world when it comes to Christmas flicks.

Update: 2022/12/01 13:34 Est By Stephen Barker

The holiday season is now in full swing and the rotation of classic Christmas movies that are watched by millions of households annually has started. While Hulu doesn't have all that many festive classics, the streaming service still has a lot to offer when it comes to holiday movies with unique concepts. 14 Best Christmas Movies Of The 2010s, Ranked According to IMDb
Image
The 2010s were a phenomenal decade for movies. From the conclusion of the Harry Potter franchise and the revival of the Star Wars franchise to a push for inclusivity with films like Love, Simon, and Crazy Rich Asians. The 2010s really were a "golden age" for movies. In addition to several box office hits and Academy Award-winning films, the 2010s also revitalized the Christmas movie genre creating instant Christmas movie classics.

While there is certainly no shortage of Christmas movies out there, the 2010s managed to reinvent the genre by borrowing from other genres. Sure, there are traditional family-friendly Christmas movies and comedy Christmas movies, but the 2010s also ventured into horror Christmas movies and even created some R-rated Christmas movies that are definitely meant for adults.

Updated on November 26th, 2022 by Danielle Bruncati:

Which Disney+ Christmas Movie Should You Watch This Year, Based On Your Zodiac Sign?

The steady drumbeat of Disney+'s competitive spirit with the de facto streaming giant, Netflix, continues to grow. But while Disney still has a bit of work to do to challenge Netflix on the front of original storytelling, they might already possess an advantage when it comes to Christmas movies, specials, and episodes of The Simpsons.

In fact, the wide catalog of Christmas films on Disney+ might seem daunting and overwhelming at first glance. For users who might be stuck and uncertain of what they should watch, it's quite easy to refer to the signs of the Zodiac instead.

This is why horoscopes and zodiacs are so fun for those interested because a person's zodiac can explain a lot about their interests, fears, and personality. With the holiday season here,...

90 Day Fiancé has showcased a range of interesting couples who are trying to get married and receive their K-1 visas, but few have fan followings as large as now-exes, Nicole Nafziger and Azan Tefou. The couple first appeared in 90Df season 5, and viewers quickly became engrossed in their story. Having seen their relationship play out on the show (the duo split last year), fans are now reviewing signs that the two would not last.

On 90 Day Fiancé, Nicole was introduced as a single mother with a young daughter. She was in love with Azan, who lived in Morocco. Nicole traveled to Morocco to visit Azan during season 5, and it was clear that the two were very different people. Their personalities often clashed, and fans believed that their issues would lead to their relationship ending. While Nicole and Azan appeared on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season 6, the...

Violent Night: 10 Movies With Unique Takes On Santa Claus
Image
Being the most iconic figure of the Christmas season, it's no suprise that there are tons of movies the features Santa Claus, and everyone knows what to expect when Santa appears in a movie. Most of the time, anyway.

In Violent Night, David Harbour becomes the latest actor to embody Saint Nick, but his take on the character is a drastic turn from the holly, jolly Claus most imagine. While a more adult, acton-oriented Santa may be a departure from tradition, this isn’t the first time that a movie has made drastic changes to Santa’s character or the Santa iconography.

Fatman Streaming On Peacock

Much like Violent Night, the Santa in Fatman is much more action-oriented. Played by Mel Gibson, this version of Santa finds himself being hunted by a hitman who has been hired by a spoiled rich kid upset that he’s been given coal for Christmas.

A Christmas Story Christmas Cast & Character Guide
Image
Peter Billingsley returns to lead the A Christmas Story Christmas cast, which is filled with returning characters and new faces. The original A Christmas Story was released in 1983 and followed Ralphie Parker as he attempted to get a Red Ryder Carbine Action 200-shot Range Model air rifle from Santa. The film quickly became an iconic Christmas movie, but Warner Bros. found a way to return to the characters decades later with A Christmas Story Christmas. The sequel provides a glimpse at Ralph's life as an adult as he learns about the difficulties that can come with trying to pull off the perfect Christmas.

The A Christmas Story sequel cast unsurprisingly features a mixture of actors that audiences know from the original movie and several new additions. Since it has been nearly 40 years since the original movie, not every person could return. The passing of Darren McGavin, who played Ralphie's Old Man,...

‘Aileen Wournos: American Boogeywoman’ Review (Netflix)
Image
Stars: Peyton List, Tobin Bell, Lydia Hearst, Swen Temmel, Andrew Biernat, Nick Vallelonga, Ashley Atwood, Christa Collins, Christopher Corbin, Joseph Schwartz, Hamish Sturgeon | Written and Directed by Daniel Farrands

In recent years writer/director Daniel Farrands, who penned 1995’s Halloween 6: The Curse of Michael Myers (still a personal favourite in the franchise) has turned his hand to creating films about some of America’s most notorious serial killers – starting with 2018’s The Amityville Murders, following that up with writing and directing The Haunting of Sharon Tate in 2019 and directing The Murder of Nicole Brown Simpson the same year. I’m not sure what Farrands’ obsession with such infamous cases is but it has resulted in films of varying quality, with the most-recent Ted Bundy: American Boogeyman easily the best of the bunch – mainly because Farrands told the story of Bundy as a literal boogeyman, playing up the horror elements...

Billy Eichner at an event for The Oscars (2015)
Billy Eichner Romantic Comedy ‘Bros’ Set for August 2022 Release
Billy Eichner at an event for The Oscars (2015)
Universal has set “Bros,” a romantic comedy starring and co-written by Billy Eichner, for release on August 12, 2022.

Universal is touting Eichner’s “Bros” as the first openly gay man to star and co-write his own major studio film. And “Bros” is certainly the rare major studio romantic comedy that will feature two gay leads as they each try to maybe, possibly, probably stumble towards love…that is, if they can find the time. They’re both very busy.

Nicholas Stoller is directing “Bros,” and Stoller also co-wrote the screenplay with Eichner. The film is described as a smart, swoony and heartfelt comedy about finding sex, love and romance amidst the madness.

“Bros” is produced by Judd Apatow, Stoller and Joshua Church, and Billy Eichner also serves as an executive producer on the film.

Eichner is well known for his comedy series “Billy on the Street,” where he parades celebrities through...

One Night in Miami Trailer, Cast, Release Date and Everything You Need to Know
Sam Cooke
Malcolm X, Sam Cooke, Jim Brown, and Muhammad Ali walk into a motel room. No really, this isn’t a put-on. It’s an event that actually happened (more or less) on the night that Ali won the heavyweight championship of the world in 1964, and right before he changed his name from Cassius Clay. Now what these four historic figures at the intersection of Black male celebrity and wider American pop culture said to each other that evening is unknown… but it makes the mind wander; it also makes for a hell of a good story in One Night in Miami.

The new film from director Regina King marks the Oscar and Emmy winning actor’s first foray into feature-length directing intended for the big screen—even as most audiences will only see One Night in Miami on Amazon when it premieres on the streaming service later this year—and...

Why Holiday Movies Should Be Inclusive of People With Disabilities (Guest Column)
Image
As the Covid-19 pandemic continues to alter people’s holiday celebrations, many people are finding that watching holiday films is one tradition that can continue. While there has been no meaningful change in the percentage of speaking characters with disabilities in these top-grossing films in the past five years with just 2.3 percent of the 4,451 characters analyzed in the 100 top-grossing films of 2019 by the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism having a disability, several holiday films are bucking this trend. And for the one-in-four people in the U.S. who have a disability, that means there are more opportunities to see ourselves reflected on screen.

“Christmas Ever After”

A recent premiere on Lifetime, it stars Tony award winner Ali Stroker in the lead role of Izzi Simmons – becoming the network’s first lead actor with a disability. A writer, Simmons is having a severe case of writer’s block when...
