All the actors in the series are students of the private acting college New Image College. The college is located in downtown Vancouver, and produces original material through its production company, New Image Entertainment.
The word téssera is Greek for the word 'Four'. Meaning that the title in English stands for "Four Tales of Joseph". Which refers to the actor Joseph Paul who portrays the unnamed narrator throughout the series.
The series was created in homage to "Tales of the Cript".
Joseph Paul, is the only actor in the series to portray the same character in each episode.
The whole series was shot over a span of eight separate days.
