Pablo Echarri, Leonardo Sbaraglia, and Clara Lago in At the End of the Tunnel (2016)

Quotes

At the End of the Tunnel

Edit
  • [last lines]
  • Guttman: In the end... it's like I told you before: it all depends on a girl... or luck.
  • [laughs and leaves]
  • Galereto: When someone tells a lie, they have to tell at least two more to cover it up. And then four more to cover those two. Eventually, you reach a point where you don't even know how it started.
  • Galereto: You only have two options. You're in a narrow corridor with two doors. The first door is the one you've chosen so far: Play dumb and stall to see if that saves you. But that door leads to the worst death you can imagine. Extremely painful. You'll watch us hurt you, chop you to pieces, break your bones, take out your teeth, all very slowly, with blood everywhere. It will surprise you how much your body can take before you die. The second dooris the smartest option: You talk, tell me everything you know, and you die quickly, without even realizing. It's up to you. Which door will you choose?
  • [first lines; voiceover]
  • Joaquín's daughter: Mom!... Mom!
  • Joaquín's wife: What?
  • Joaquín's daughter: I'm with Casimiro!
  • Berta: This is such a shitty birthday.
  • Berta: [about Betty] She doesn't talk to anyone, not even me. She just doesn't speak. But she's not mute. She just stopped talking.
  • Berta: I don't know what you're trying to do... but it's not going to work.
  • Canario: [sarcastically] This is great, we've got a Spaniard, a stutterer, a dyke, and a guy from Corrientes. We're such a melting pot!
  • Guttman: Is it true you're retiring after this job?
  • Galereto: That's right.
  • Guttman: That's what they all say.
  • Galereto: There's a girl. I'm leaving with her. Money and the girl I love, all at once.
  • Joaquín: I can take care of you both. We can leave, the three of us. Together.
