25 years ago, on this day, November 22, marked the very first appearance of The Undertaker in the WWE at Survivor Series.
Before Survivor Series was live, a mysterious thing called "Anonymous" announced that ISIS, a terrorist group, planned to attack the event, which was at Phillips Arena in Atlanta. When WWE heard about this, they still decided to continue with the show.
The original planned main event was supposed to have been Seth Rollins defending the WWE World Championship against Roman Reigns. However, Rollins suffered a serious knee injury during his title defense against Kane at a live event in Dublin, Ireland on November 4th; therefore the match was canceled and the title was vacated, and the WWE had to set up a tournament to crown a new champion.
Marked the return of Goldust.
The Undertaker and Kane's first match together as a tag-team (not including Survivor Series elimination matches) on PPV since Unforgiven 2001.
