Pokémon Sun (2016)

Trivia

Pokémon Sun

Edit
Sun and Moon are the first Pokémon games to be released in Chinese.
Unlike its predecessors (Pokémon X and Y; Pokémon Alpha Sapphire and Omega Ruby), where the stereoscopic 3D feature of the Nintendo 3DS was used only sparingly (e.g. during Pokémon battles), this game doesn't use this feature at all.
The Region of Alola is based on the Hawaiian Islands, making this and it's companion game, Moon Version the fifth entries in the Pokémon franchise to be based on a region in the United States. (Black and White, Black and White 2, Colosseum and XD: Gale of Darkness)
The introduction of Z-moves were said to be implemented to make every Pokemon viable during the game as Pokémon developers disliked how some Pokémon were never used.
When the Pokémon orangaru was revealed there was a joke going around the community that the Pokémon was based on a gorilla that had been put down named harambe.
