Luisa Spagnoli: Queen of Chocolate

"Spagnoli" means "Spaniard" in Italian. In the 11th century, there was a great migration of Spaniards (mainly from Catalonia) to Italy. In order to never lose their true identity, they adopted last names to remind their progeny, and future generations alike, of where they really came from: Spain. A popular such last name was "Catalano" (meaning "Catalonian", in Italian) such as was Guy Williams' real last name, indicating that the Zorro protagonist's ancestry really was from Catalunya, Spain.

So, the title of this series really means: "Luisa, Spaniard", and all the Italian "pride" truly ought to be Spanish pride, as one takes their skills from their country of origin, and one cannot alter their DNA (who one truly is) by moving to, obtaining a passport from, or being born in a foreign country.
